buzzfrog Posted June 14, 2012 Posted June 14, 2012 how would you approach this, i got all day, well to 4 to fish, i was thinking crankbaits, Quote
Super User Marty Posted June 16, 2012 Super User Posted June 16, 2012 Crankbaits are fine if the cover will allow them to be used, but I wouldn't rule out any type of lure. Quote
jeb2 Posted June 17, 2012 Posted June 17, 2012 In the summer in the south, I think I'd just get some beer and go find some shade. Seriously. Fishing gets tough from 9-10am onto to late afternoon, even from a boat. 1 Quote
Global Moderator Bluebasser86 Posted June 17, 2012 Global Moderator Posted June 17, 2012 I'd second going home until evening when it starts to cool off. If you're set on fishing I'd go with finesse stuff, shakeyheads with a trick worm, split shot rig, wacky rig, something natural looking that they're more likely to eat if it falls on their nose. A C-rig can be good from the bank on a hot day because you can launch it a long ways and cover a lot of water. Quote
rboat Posted June 17, 2012 Posted June 17, 2012 Middle of the day is tough. I would T-rig a 10" worm, dark color, lightest weight that will work and fish S-L-O-W. Good luck. Quote
NoBassPro Posted June 17, 2012 Posted June 17, 2012 I'd find the thickest cover you can and either try punching thru it or finding holes and putting jigs or soft plastics in them. Landing fish caught this way from shore poses another issue LOL. Quote
