Cody0707 Posted June 14, 2012 Posted June 14, 2012 Has anyone used or read about using a Curado 50e in saltwater? Do you think this rod could pull double duty for Snook, trout, and reds? Quote
BobP Posted June 14, 2012 Posted June 14, 2012 Sure, why not? The only reels I won't go near saltwater with are ones with a magnesium frame, like a Chronarch 50MG. Quote
Super User LgMouthGambler Posted June 14, 2012 Super User Posted June 14, 2012 That reel will do anything. Just be careful, for saltwater it doesnt hold too much line to go for big fish. Quote

I used a mg reel in saltwater for 2 years without any problems or wear and corrosion on the frame, I still use this reel almost every day. The Stella fe has a mg frame and shimano approves it for saltwater use. Quote
