MrPerfect Posted June 12, 2012 Posted June 12, 2012 Question, what are the things to look for when buying a used bass boat? I have started saving and I'm looking to pick up a used/reliable bass boat for $6,000 or less. I've been a shore fisherman my entire life, and the breadth of my boating experience and knowledge extends to jet boats. Anything in particular I should look out for? Any suggestions? I'm in the Orlando, Florida area. Quote
Super User Marty Posted June 13, 2012 Super User Posted June 13, 2012 There's an article here at: http://www.bassresource.com/fishing/buying_first_boat.html You may want additional information. I'd recommend Googling "how buy used bass boat", but don't use the quotes. Quote
RyneB Posted June 13, 2012 Posted June 13, 2012 for 6 grand and under your looking at aluminum. Id say to look for a used Lowe or tracker with a 40. Just make sure the hull is in decent shape and have a outboard tech look at the outboard and check the compression. Quote
