bknap Posted June 12, 2012 Posted June 12, 2012 what type of line do you all pitch and flip with? i have recently just changed to 20pound florocarbon and was started to think if it might be to big.. (going from 15-17 mono) let me know what you all think Quote
Global Moderator Mike L Posted June 12, 2012 Global Moderator Posted June 12, 2012 20# Seagar for soft plastics and 50# braid for jigs Mike Quote
Super User Hi Salenity Posted June 12, 2012 Super User Posted June 12, 2012 50# 832 I love FC but I also make long casts and find it to be too stretchy. Quote
Global Moderator Bluebasser86 Posted June 12, 2012 Global Moderator Posted June 12, 2012 20lb invis X or Red Label unless I'm in heavy weeds then I'll go to 65lb braid. Quote
Super User LgMouthGambler Posted June 13, 2012 Super User Posted June 13, 2012 20# YoZuri for jigs in open cover. 65# Spiderwire for heavy cover. Quote
msolorio Posted June 13, 2012 Posted June 13, 2012 16-20# sunline sniper and 50# sunline fx2 braid or power pro. you have to remember that most fluoros have a smaller diameter than mono so its usually not to big. Quote
Capt.Bob Posted June 14, 2012 Posted June 14, 2012 30# Braid in heavy weeds, I think it cuts weeds better I found the heavier Braid I went the more it didn't cut the weeds, in open areas with little weeds like around docks I add a 6-8' 20# fluorocarbon leader. Quote
A-Rob Posted June 14, 2012 Posted June 14, 2012 I fish grass so I go 65# braid But I do switch to 20# FC when the grass hasn't grown up or died off. 20# should work for ya and not be too heavy Quote
