Delaware offers a program to promote catch and release, as im sure most states do, whereas if you catch a citation size fish you can send in for a patch. Here's mine from my PB caught back in May.

It's a cool program, if it's setup right.

My state is a bit odd on size and weight. I remember from hearing from old timers they use to hand out spiciest pins before they changed to the same single patch.

Michigan does this as well.

SMB entries must be 21" and Lmb entries are required to be a minimum of 22".

I've been fortunate enough to make at least one entry in the smb category for the last few season in a row.

LMB entries are more of a challenge, at least for me. I have manage 4 in the last five years.

SMB waters up here out number Lmb waters 2 : 1.

Some seasons I have at least 1 (sometimes both) by now, but this season I'm still looking for my first.

At least in Michigan anyway.

I just wish we were allowed more than one a year... It would be better if it for one species per year, but its limited to just one award a year.
