Going down for around 8 days, don't know the whole schedule yet but we'll be around the Rogers-bentonville area. Still have to look into a couple days fishing license and where to fish, most likely no boat. I know beaver lake is the biggest body of water there but don't know how well the shore fishing is.

Beaver is the dead sea, it's pretty tough fishing the majority of the time, especially from the bank. If u have time I would suggest driving down to the buffalo river, it's a blue ribbon smallmouth fishery and would be easy to fish from the bank. Also if your up for trout the white right behind beaver dam is stocked and can be fun.

I have plenty of time, wouldn't mind traveling out well past the city limits. I'll check out buffalo river while I'm down there.

3 day license is 10.50 (I think). The Buffalo is a real easy wading stream with lots of access. Ul gear is

best as most fish will be 10-14 inches. teeny brush hogs, small craw cranks, small tubes, and spinner baits will work. Right now the water is pretty low so you won't have to worry about a lot of floaters on the upper end.

Found the 7 day licence isn't bad, missing one day but it's good enough, now since you said that I'll have to bring my UL stuff

The Reuben alone sounds enticing

I must find some bass down here somewhere though

Look at the Ark state parks web site, might be some smaller sized lakes in that area for good bank fishing. Also city parks may have ponds as well. I live about 3 hrs south of that area so I'm not much help.

Checked out the maps around here, visited most of the lakes and got to say a bit disappointing for shore fishing. Perhaps if I was looking for bream and bluegill it would more productive, about everyone I've ran into doesn't bass fish. From the looks of it it's just a boat only way to fish.

Yeah there's really not a lot here for a bank bass fisherman. There are plenty of bass fisherman here but everyone fishes out of a boat. If I had time I would take u but sadly I don't....like I said earlier there are several good smallmouth rivers around but u are going to drive for a couple of hours any way to get to them

Should have taken my advise. :drinking-10:

We wanted to, but it reached the point where we just wanted to get out of there. Couldnt handle the bible thumping anymore.

This wasnt a vacation, it was something we needed to do and when we did it we got out, I accomplished finding fish and catching two bass so atleast I came on top of that.
