Who wins the East?

I have to admit I have been disappointed with the Miami Heat as of late, they can't seem to keep up the intensity needed to beat the Celtics. Lebron is doing his part and Wade has his moments, but the lack of depth, bench play and a true center is the Heat's achilles heal and it shows against the Celtics. I really hope Bosh is able to give the Heat more minutes tonight and at least suppress Kevin Garnett, because without him Celtics advance. Regardless of who advances the Thunder will totally demolish the Eastern Champion.

The Celts have experience, a solid coach and heart. Oh, and an actual team that runs plays instead of 2 solo performers. Boston has the heart, Heat do not. See you in OKC.

Describe Heart?

Did the Spurs not have it?

Boston had experience and "heart" last year too, just like San Antonio did against OKC and it didn't work, the key this year is that Heat are missing that 3rd "solo performer", Bosh, just like the Celtics were down a man last year. Nevertheless, the Heat seemed doomed without him as part as the starting lineup, but can you honestly say that this series would be close with the Heat's Big 3 as part as the starting line-up against the Celtics? Come'on man!

Celtics if i had anything to do with it. I would love to see those 3 actors who proclaimed multiple championships to lose for a 2nd year straight. Not 1, not 2, not 3, not 4, NOT ZERO!!!!!!!!!!

You need to do your homework. Ray Allen shouldn't really be playing right now just like Bosh and my best guess is Paul Pierce will be under the knife for his knee right after the season is over. You have 2 healthy superstars to 1.

Homework? RAY and PAUL are on the FLOOR playing and contributing PERIOD, Bosh hasn't been until the last game for about a quarter, I think little Riley, "Eric's," decision not to put him in was unwise, but I don't know the extent of Bosh's injury.

Honestly, can you say if Bosh, Paul, and Ray were 100% healthy right now it would be Celtics in the Finals? I bet the odds makers in Vegas and a regular NBA fan would disagree with the Celtics winning a series. It should be the Bulls and Heat in the conference final, if we lived in an ideal world where injury wasn't a factor. . Nevertheless, reality is what planet I am on and without Bosh playing significant minutes tonight the Heat are doomed, to lose to the 3rd best team in the East. Regardless OKC is going to bring the THUNDER down on the Eastern champion, Heat or Celtics.

I voted for the Celtics but after tonights performance I am not sure anymore. I didn't think they stood a chance against the Heat to begin with but the BIG 3 have been playing very well and so has Rondo. Only time will tell, bring on game 7!

Did the Celtics have no heart last night, did they not have the want the Heat had? Were those intangibles or some psychotic breakdown on some players part the reason they lost? NO

The term heart, desire, drive, want, etc are cliches, its all about match-ups. talent, and to an extent LUCK., The Heat were LUCKY that just about everything Lebron put up made it in the basket. They maybe able to suppress the lessor talented Celtics with one superstar shining versus sub-par play from Rondo, Allen, Garnett and Pierce, but unless the other two Heat guys (what are their names again?) or our shooters are on come game 7(doubt it), they will not beat the Celtics come game 7. I hope the Heat play just as aggressively defensively with Bosh on Garnett, which by the way helped out Lebron in all his heroics in getting to the post, and the rebounding remains spectacular. So in closing if the Heat are firing on all cylinders and the Celtics are also I expect the Heat to win, they have better match-ups and talent, PERIOD, but I hope LUCK plays a role with a hot hand going off. So please don't say the Celtics didn't play with heart, they simply were out played just like the Heat were in 4 games of the series, yes 4 they got lucky on some non-calls in game 2!

I guess Rondo is not a Superstar, I'll give you Chalmers or Cole for him. Come'on man!

I'm not going to get into a ticking contest with this thread. Man, what a beat down in every aspect that game was. LeBron showed why he's one of the greats last night. Looking forward to another game at the AAA on Saturday night.

I'm just glad to see that the refs have backed off some. The calls were getting a bit ridiculous in the first few games, for boh sides. There were some clear fouls last night on both teams not called. Gotta let them guys play hard playoff ball. As a fan of the game, I'm looking forward to seeing an OKC and Miami series. OKC and Boston just wouldn't have the same appeal as watching Durant and James go at it.

I love this time of the year! :D

Pretty sure they split the season 1-1 with Miami. Swept Boston 2-0. It's never a are thing that one team will beat the other.

If OKC plays the Celtics, OKC will sweep them in 4 games. The Celtics are no match.

The Heat will likely win game 7 against the Celtics and match up with OKC.

The OKC / Miami series will likely go 7 games with OKC having a slight edge because of 4 home games....IMHO

LeBron was awesome in game 6. I hope he brings that scowl to the next game.

You're right Rondo isn't a superstar. If memory serves me correctly, he made the All Star team because another player got hurt.

KG, Paul Pierce and Ray Allen were superstars in their day, but no more. D-Wade and LeBron = Superstars.

I can understand why you would want Rondo, instead of D-Wade and LeBron scoring 70 points a night, they could score 100 points if Rondo was dishing the rock to them.

As far as you doing your homework, poor choice of words on my part, my apologies. I do appreciate the dialog though, it certainly keeps the games interesting from both city's perpesctive.

Good luck in Game 7. Should the Heat win, I will route for them in the finals. As A C's fan, I would rather lose to the eventual champs, even though OKC has Perk playing for them.

I wouldn't root for Miami in an intrasquad game. :wink2:

You think the bench players would have you laughing enough that you could at least pull for them a little?

I'm old school, you don't root for the enemy, you root against them. It was the Lakers in the 80's, and now it's the heat. I remember the garden chanting beat L A to the sixers after they beat the celts in the early 80s. Just for the record, I hate the yankees, steelers, and montreal.

I could never root for Lebron! I just can not stand him, granted he is a great player but the way he handled the whole Cleveland situation was terrible. Now if the Heat did not have Lebron, then I would have no problem rooting for them, except for when they are playing the Celtics!

I hope the Celtics can pull it off tonight, but if not I will be rooting for the Thunder!

Just referring to the way he drug that thing out in Cleveland and kept those fans on pins and needles for pretty much that whole summer. Can't deny that he does great things for the communities no matter where he is.

I am a little bit Old School, I usually have blind hatred towards anything Boston, New York, and Chicago, being a South Florida native and seeing how rude most of the snow birds were to people compared to Southerners, this is based on my experience working in the service industry while growing up and dealing with people in general. That and being a Dolphin fan for years, growing up, nothing worse than dealing with Jets fans and to a degree Patriots fans, but the Phins usually dominated them back then so it was easy to gloat a bit. Buffalo fans for some reason never really bothered me even they are from the state, but they were much more likeable and down to earth,

I wouldn't be excited about that.

The Heat don't have much of a chance in my opinion.
