Super User LgMouthGambler Posted June 5, 2012 Super User Posted June 5, 2012 I think you got it down pat. The only thing I would change would be to use a Crucial rod for them. Quote
Super User K_Mac Posted June 5, 2012 Super User Posted June 5, 2012 Equipment at that level really comes down to personal preference IMO. Those reels should last a lifetime, and quality rods are a joy to use. Welcome to the bass fishing brotherhood and the forum. Quote
Super User roadwarrior Posted June 5, 2012 Super User Posted June 5, 2012 I'm not too jazzed about the Carrot Sticks. Here are my suggestions: Baitcasting: G. Loomis BCR854 for jigs and weighted sofy plastics St. Croix AVC70MM for treble hook lures Spinning: G. Loomis SJR843S St. Croix LES70MF Quote
Super User WRB Posted June 6, 2012 Super User Posted June 6, 2012 Take a look at Dobyn's rods and call Gary to ask his advice for all around bass fishing choices. My advice would be a 7', fast action 3 power and 4 power casting rods, 7' fast action 2 power and 3 power spinning rods. Tom Quote
