JoePhish Posted June 4, 2012 Posted June 4, 2012 Once the sun goes down I'll usually tie on one of the below: Jig - Big and Black usually with a big black worm trailer Hollow Body Frog Rage Toad or Cane Toad Smoking Rooster Black Jointed Jitterbug. However, the other night I was doing well on a gold lipless. Quote

lavbasser Posted June 6, 2012 Posted June 6, 2012 Are you talking about the time just before dusk or after sunset? I've done a fair amount of fishing after sunset in the summer and early fall, mostly between 9 and midnight. Often the bite would not pick up until 30-45 minutes after sunset. I like to fish slow and big at night but I know guys who say they do well with senkos. A black buzzbait, buzzjet, and a Gambler Swim Blade are some of my favorites. The fishing can be excellent, especially for larger fish, but it isn't always the case. My advice is to stick with it and stay a bit later if the bite is slow. Quote
Super User Bassn Blvd Posted June 6, 2012 Super User Posted June 6, 2012 I use the same lures/worms at night as I do in the day. Last night I was throwing a 1/2 chrome with blue top rattle trap and flat out whacked'em. Quote
Sherlock 60 Posted June 6, 2012 Posted June 6, 2012 Black 1/2 oz spinnerbait with a large black Colorado blade A black Jitterbug was my favorite until recently when I tried a black spinnerbait just like the one mentioned above. Quote
Bassfishing375 Posted June 18, 2012 Posted June 18, 2012 (edited) I love to use senkos, top water- buzzbaits, torpedos, etc. I also like using big worm with a big profile in the water so the fish can see it. I like using the 10in rage tail anaconda because it has a big bulky profile and that giant tail that move a lot of water. I have heard great things of using a big Colorado blade spinnerbait in a black but i have not gotten to use it yet. I also heard Big jigs are great because they move a lot of water also just a plain creature bait is good because it also moves a lot of water and it has a slender profile than jigs. But sadly i have not got to try this yet. Edited June 18, 2012 by Bassfishing375 Quote
dale.m Posted June 18, 2012 Posted June 18, 2012 Black and blue buzz bait or a black and blue spinnerbait with a large colorado blade. I also like to use Ragetail Smoking Rooster's in the junebug color. Quote
