I picked up one of these baits in chrome sexy shad color. I took it out today, but didn't catch anything on it. How do yall fish this bait? I was stoppin and goin, but I don't know if that's best. I know it's supposed to shimmy on the fall.

I fish it like any other lipless crank.  I like to rip them through weeds w/ 50lb Power Pro braid. In water that where weeds are less aboundant, I'll use stop and go, I'll yo-yo them and other times I'll burn em. Just got to experiment and let the fish tell you how they want them fished.

In addition to what's already been mentioned it's also effective when you slow roll it, last fall I caught bass with the water temp as low as 45 degrees doing this.

I usually start out with burning it, then a moderate retrieve, then i start and stop it,and finally, if nothing else has worked, I yo-yo it. I normally catch fish with this bait either burning it or moderately retrieving it. one of my favorites.

Experiment until you find what they want. It's just like any other rat-l-trap , no secret to it.

give it some time...these are my go to bait when they aint hittin on anything else! Redeye has finished my limit out in alot of T's and are good bait to search with. You cant be scared to throw it into or around stucture/cover, yes you may lose a few but you will also hook up! I always have a red eye tied on one of my rods....

I love the red eye shad.  I don't fish it much on the river, but where I go in MN I fish alot of lakes and its spawn/postspawn and the bass (and northerns) absolutely clobber it, ripped over a weed bed in 5-10ft of water or rocky flats.  I reel it just fast enough to tick the top of the grass and when it gets hung up rip it out.  But really be paying attention, they like to grab it when you rip it out, but its hard to tell when they bite, because you usually are trying to recover slack line from yanking it out.

I always have one tied on also.  I do really well with the regular 1/2 oz models.  I recently picked up a few in the 1/4 oz models for the more pressured lakes.
