Super User burleytog Posted December 29, 2009 Super User Posted December 29, 2009 Used it? What did you think about it? Getting tired of my net taking up almost my entire starboard locker. Quote

Super User Wayne P. Posted December 29, 2009 Super User Posted December 29, 2009 I have one of the original ones that is a little shorter than the current model. It is flimsy in the front of the hoop and the opening is kind of small to handle large fish. It takes some training for your fishing partner to operate it correctly. It is definately a space saver though. Quote
Super User Team9nine Posted December 29, 2009 Super User Posted December 29, 2009 Definitely a space saver, but overall a huge pain in the rear. Lasted one tourney day in the boat before I made my partner take it out. I'd rather go netless. JMHO. -T9 Quote
Super User Fishes in trees Posted December 29, 2009 Super User Posted December 29, 2009 I have one. For the most part I like it. You've got to teach yourself how to use it, to echo what Wayne P wrote, it is flimsy at the front hoop, which isn't a problem if ou're aware of it. It does take a few moments to deploy and if you're fishing by yourself I don't have any spare hands. The space saving feature is huge. Anyway, I think it is a good compromise. Quote

simplejoe Posted December 30, 2009 Posted December 30, 2009 Burley, I got the Rapala folding net it. It doesn't take up much room at all. http://www.target.com/gp/detail.html/187-2721595-2126445?ASIN=B0006VNBY0&AFID=Froogle&LNM=B0006VNBY0|Rapala_ProGuide_Folding_Fishing_Net&ci_src=14110944&ci_sku=B0006VNBY0&ref=tgt_adv_XSG10001 I got mine at Wally World, I just did a quick Google search for this link.
