Caught this fish on a T rigged California craw colored Rage Craw. I know its not a "pig" like Big O shows off,but for me personally,I only get into fish like this once in a blue moon on this lake, its filled with Dinks. I Think the Rage Craw with Megastrike really helped throughout the day,I caught one more that was almost as large as this one.Im lovin them Rage Craws!!

I have a scale but im not sure it accurate,so based on everyones experience, what does everyone think this fish weighed?

That angle makes it tough man. I'm saying 5. She has a little belly flab. What did your scale read?

Sadly my scale only read 3.31,its a cheapie luggage scale from the orient. This fish was solid and THICK... I'll have to weigh something of known weight and see how much its off by. I'm thinking this fish is every bit of 5#

I would say your scale is right on! It may not be a five but a nice fish anyways congrats!

Well wheres my Humble Pie? I took a 10# dumbell and weighed it with my scale and 65 pound Spiderwire. Scale read 10.41. So if my math is correct this fish only weighed 2.9# (3.31,which is what my scale read yesterday, minus the .41 overage for the scale). Guess this fish looked so large because I havent hooked into anything this size in forever... Feel kinda foolish making a big deal over a 3 pound fish. This wouldnt even qualify as a kicker fish...

Did you get measurements of it? It's a lot easier to guess the weight of a fish with the length/girth of the fish than it is from a picture.

No I didnt get measurements,I was pretty pumped and wanted to get the fish back in the water as quick as possible.

Just get at least a quick length next time. That fish looks like it's around 18-19 inches which would usually runs 2 3/4-3 1/2 pounds depending on girth. Very good looking fish no matter the weight though :respect-059:

I agree this is a good looking fish, nice broad sides, and nice Vivid colors. Fish has a boo boo on its tail as well

Dang this picture looked every bit of 5 on my phone while i was at work today! Now that im on my laptop, it looks more like 3. Hrd to judge a fish from a picture sometimes!

i thought the fact that his hand is half of the length of the fish would have been a give away on this photo.

Great job with your fish. Regardless of it's lower weight, it is a beauty and worth posting! Keep em comin.

Is that at PCL? I went for the first time this past Wednesday. Not the best place to shore fish with all the weeds. I did get a few decent (2-3#) with a scum frog in the inlet just past the marina. Either way, nice fish for PCL if thats where you got him.

Yup this was PCL,over by the Rock Dam

Nice fish man, I believe you have it figured out. Stick with the rage tail, sometimes the big ones take time, but they come eventually.

people place too much emphasis on weights. that's a really nice healthy looking fish. i'll take 'em like that all day long.

I'll guess the weight... Heavy enough to make a smile on anyones face ;) WTG!
