i use alot of lines, idk why, though Ppro and sunline are staples. My grandma picked me up some sensation in orange color, i believe it is 15 lb. would this be a good topwater line. It said a small diameter mono, so idk.. whats the opnion on here. She knows my fav color was orange and it was on sale

I've used the clear sensation quite a few times, and I even have it spooled on one of my reels now, it's a quality co-polymer, nothing super, but it's not bad; it's really just Trilene xt and xl mixed together. It should work well for what you have in mind.

I use it and love it. Thin diameter, low stretch (vs regular mono), holds knots good and is fairly good abrasion resistance. The break strength is way above what it's rated at too. Haven't done any tests or anything but I have pulled up several trees with 12 lb test.I Don't believe it's just xt and xl blended together. It's different.

I'm skeptical it's that simple. I use 10lb test clear Sensation along with 6lb & 10lb Berkley 100% Fluorocarbon as leaders. The Sensation floats, is very nearly as thin as the 6lb fluorocarbon and easily as strong as the 10lb fluoro. I use it when fishing top water lures and hard jerkbaits. I don't like any monofilament as a mainline, but as a leader it works well for me.

Geez...

Try Yo-Zuri #6 on your spinning tackle, #12 on your baitcasters.

I never said it was like floro, a co-poly can be a mix of many different things, not just floro and nylon like in Yo-Zuri hybrid, I was told by some guys at berkley that it really is a mix of the two formulas, most co-poly lines do float, it just depends on what they put into the recipe for the line. I definitely agree with you on it being thin and strong.

sorry, that sounds pretty close to comparing it to floro, threw me off

I'd be surprised if it's a mix of the two, because Sensation has less stretch than either XT (by a little) or XL (by a lot) lines individually. I actually haven't found a mono/copoly or fluoro line that stretches less, though I certainly haven't tested everything on the market. I've been using it quite a bit lately as both a regular line when I want a mono/copoly with minimal stretch, or as an inexpensive leader line. Pretty good stuff, and the blaze orange is a great color for line watching.
