First time yesterday, i got a backlash so bad i had to cut it out, this was a small country town with only a normal walmart. I had to buy spiderwire ez braid, went back to the lake and spooled it up, i did not like it, it felt weird compared to Power pro and suffix. i am no braid pro, bit it felt slick to me, i did catch a few more bass, and the braid handled well but i think i am gonna spool it back on, take it back or somthing i just cant get used to it, Does anyone like it over PP or suffix. Am i just used to Powe pro

I feel the same as you....my first braid was the EZ Braid. It seemed to work ok for 3 or 4 trips. A little stiff. Then it started to fray a little so I cut about 6 feet off.....twice.

then I switched to Sufix 832 gold.....wow! What a difference! Smoother casting and limper. Bought some Power Pro on advice of a fisherman and liked it too!

So, all in all, I'll NOT be going back to EZ Braid. Good price on it....but not worth it in the long run.

Until someone corrects me, I think PP and Tuf Line are the same line, made in the same factory.

Both are made in the same town (different mailing addresses),handle the same, and breaking strengths are so close compared to any other two lines.

I have had no problems with PP, that said I've no problems with any other braid. I favor the ones on sale, they all seem to fish the same and one doesn't produce more of bigger fish than another line.

For me, if I'm using a brand that can handle ocean fish over 20# on 15-20# braid, with little or no wind knots and knots that don't fail, why would I want to change!

Perhaps so, but I had problems with Tuf Line XP that I never had with Power Pro. Admittedly, it was just based on one spool, but when you have problems with your first purchase there won't be a second.

every spider wire line i have ever used has been junk. Back when i was younger and all the fishing shows were promoting spider wire i thought it was the greatest thing ever. Then i started getting serious about fishing and quickly realized that every spider wire line i tried was garbage. I have used the EZ braid and of all the spider wire lines, it was my favorite (which isnt saying much). Power Pro is far superior to any spider wire line. Stick with PP
