Super User SirSnookalot Posted May 26, 2012 Super User Posted May 26, 2012 Nice catches on the freshwater fish as of late. My freshwater has been pisspoor, haven't gone in several weeks except my home pond, which has yielded next to nothing. Quote

Spent a couple hours this morning hitting a few spots in southwest ranches, it was slow again. One small bass on a buzz frog and another 1lber on a brush hawg. i'm just in a funk right now. And i've never fished in hollywood. Know of a few spots in the pembroke pines area though. Good Luck! Matt Quote
Ortiz396 Posted May 28, 2012 Posted May 28, 2012 Basshunter954 , good catch on your fish. I went Saturday Morning and got a few good 7-8 lbs snakeheads and small bass but the best part of the day wAs the spotting of the biggest snakehead and him spitting my frog out due to drag not set cause my 6 year is learning the bait caster and another high light of the day was keeping the mom and dads away from the snakehead baby ball and watching 12 bass striking them like thunder. etommy28 Posted May 28, 2012 Posted May 28, 2012 check your scale, a 19 inch fish should weigh more than 3 pounds, it should be closer to 5. other than that looks like you are have some success. Quote
Super User AK-Jax86 Posted May 28, 2012 Super User Posted May 28, 2012 Nice one man I have been fishing off of Racetrack road in Saint Johns County in Jacksonville and me and my girlfriend have caught a total of 12 fish (all around the same size and bigger as the one in my pic, that was the first fish i caught here since I moved to FL) with in 48 hours at this one lake off of Racetrack (and that is just the amount that we were able to net). We have had at least another 6 to 10 snap the line or get unhooked. I just got back a couple hours ago and this guy who was there said that his buddy landed a 11 pounder (IDK if i believe that) and he caught a 5 pounder there last week both were released back into the lake. So I will be there EVERY day tryng to get those 2 on my line. Quote
BassHunter954 Posted May 28, 2012 Author Posted May 28, 2012 haha yea most deff. try to get them ^ Quote

Super User SirSnookalot Posted May 30, 2012 Super User Posted May 30, 2012 whered you fish delray? and see im not only one guys In my community, in Delray. I started off walking the canal behind my home, caught one maybe 2#, then switched over to one of my ponds and caught 3 more fish, they started busted bait which I haven't seen in while. This is about the time of the year the humidity brings out the gnats, last year was the worst I have seen. Between the heat and bugs out here I do very little bass fishing until maybe November, plus the saltwater action starts reving up about now. Quote
