Carolina keeper OR swivel is what i guessing you are asking. I like the Carolina keeper. It was shown to me by a fellow member here and is a neat concept with allot of added benefits over a swivel. only one knot, adjustable leader length are the 2 that stand out most to me.

X2

Very quick adjustments, no retieing knots to add or subtract length, really nice piece of equiptment.

Try Gambler Florida Rig Goo Weights, available at TW.They come with a line threader and stay on your line pretty tight. All you have to do is slide your weight to the desired length. One draw back is that it doesn't slide freely on the line like a conventional C rig. Carolina Keepers work, but I have read they will slide down on the line depending on the size weight you are throwing. So if you use a Carolina Keeper, and the weight is too much, you may loose the length of your Carolina Rig on your first cost/lob.

If I am using a heavy weight I do have problems with 1 keeper sliding down. So far this has been eliminated by using 2 keepers.

I prefer the keeper as it makes for easy adjustment and re rigging. I have had an occasional issue with it slipping but very infrequently. I'll have to try NBR's suggestion of 2 keepers.

I call them the lazy C rig and I really like them!!!! A lot of the lakes I fish have muck bottoms that makes C rigging almost impossible so I don't use it much, only a handful of times a year but when I do I use the keeper and to think I found them by accident.

What about the Carolina shortcut?

Well ive never been much of a carolina rig guy! I fish alot on toledo bend abd it normally does good here but everyone i know throws it with a swivel! I watched the video on here about the keeper and it looks simple to mess with!! Does anyone throw a fluke with it! And if so how well does it work

I use the carolina keeper on my senko plastics rod. I use a snap swivel on the rod and a swivel on the top of my carolina rig with the keeper adjusting the leaders length. This way i can change out my carolina rigs without tying. (different weights already setup)

I have a hard time in the light tying knots let alone in the low light and dark situations.
