Bigone5-243.jpg

The biggest of the 4 I got today, third time is a charm, started working the pond with a rebel popper, got 1 about 12 inches on that, after I worked around switched to a red shad zoom trick work got a 9 incher on that near where I got this one. Then switched to a june bug red flake rattlesnake and work from the opposite corner back to this one in the area where the sun was laying across, first cast got me a 15 incher then made it to the other side where I pulled this one out.

Here is the smaller one on the rattlesnake

Thats a nice one man was the lake you caught that in close to Race track?

I am going to post some of the onces that I caught on here, I have a couple nice ones that I pulled out of my usual pond on race track where there is a rumored 11lb (IDK if i believe that) and a 5lb (more believable; that was landed last weekend) swimming around.

Thanks man. It is pretty close to racetrack, about 10-12 minutes maybe it was on the list I gave you. Where is the spot on racetrack at? Haven't fished in St. Johns yets, there are a few ponds I know of before you get into Julington Creek.

Nice fish. Have any spots you don't mind sharing? I've got a few out on the westside of town that have been producing really well. I've caught 2 over 6lbs in the last week or so.

Different pond, same area, got a couple more, should have had 3 this morning but the third I got sloppy on the hook set. All 3 on killer bee black/yellow zoom frogs!!! between 5:50 and 6:20 am, both were fat, the second one must have been playing centerfield, as soon as it hit the water he must have sucked it up, i reeled and was like why isn;t my frog buzzing, whole thing down the gullet....worm bite was not on after that.

Those are nice man where was this pond at? Me and my girlfriend are going to get up early around 5:45am and try a few ponds out. This weekend we are going to be fishing a lot since it is going to be sunny and hot. I tried some of the lakes over by the hospital in the business complex but I didn't get any bites. My spot on race track has seemed to die down a lot as well. We were pulling them out left and right but the past couple days we have only caught about 2 to 3 small ones.

I went to my normal spot got there around 6:40am and landed my biggest at 7:00am

The pond is on the right if you are heading towards San Jose Blvd from Racetrack in the Julington Creek Plantation the pond is right there once you turn into the development. I caught 2 fish this morning only stayed for about 45 mins because my girlfriend was complaining that she was tired.

The first one weighed 1.5 lbs. Then I casted out and about 5 mins later I got a huge strike and I must have not tied my hook right and when I was reeling it in the hook snapped off, it was a monster by the way it hit the line. Then about 5 mins later after that I landed this beast...

Nice catch man, I think I know where your talking about. It is about 10 minutes from me. My neighbor was telling me that many of the pond in that area hold nice fish. You ever fished the Pond on the corner of Bartram Park blvd and Racetrack? I have seen a few people at that and the ones past 95 on Racetrack near the hound track. Also If you go up Bartram park blvd towards old st. augustine road to your right there will be a subdivision with road and no houses there are 2 ponds in there and 1 on the edge that hold fish, they are really clear though and the other is heavy weeds. Keep going and you will see a business park on the right, seen people fish it I have been for like 15 minutes and nothing. The other spot is up at the intx of Batram and Old st Augustine, that big pond behind publix holds some nice ones. Almost hooked one today, it is always good for at least a 1 pounder. Fish either end, by Bono's or Behind Kohls. It is a lot of area I know by the culverts and the spill way have them and the cove by bono's and the apartments do too. But I need to google earth it and see if I can get a pic of it dry I want to know what the middle does.

I never fished in the pond by Batrum and race track but I have seen people fish there too. I am gonna try to get out tomorrow and Sunday and try some new spots. I went to those ponds on Batrum that you were talkin about by the old industrial place but I had no luck. I fished the last one that has the tall grass things around it and has a couple openings. I was driving through orange park today and there are a lot of nice ponds by developments that look decent I am probably going to check them out on Sunday.

I haven't fished the pond behind publix yet either. I was there on Monday during the break in the weather but then it started to down pour so we left. Hopefully it doesn't rain too much this weekend so I can get out at fish

I went to the pond behind publix for about a hour but I didn't catch anything. I was there from like 7:20 and left about 8:30. I fished in the little cove behind bonos didn't get a bite though.

All the ponds I fish are off of Butler, yes some you cannot or you're not allowed to trespass but working for the gov't has it's perks.
