flyeaglesfly5186 Posted May 23, 2012 Posted May 23, 2012 Dude I just keep my gear in the trunk of my car. Everything I own to do with fishing could fit in there. I'll take a picture if you want. I guess it's a "cave" of sorts. 1 Quote
Addicted to Smallies Posted May 23, 2012 Posted May 23, 2012 I WISH I had a fishing man cave... my wife has relegated me to 1/4 of a garage shelf between the holiday decorations and just enough wall space in the garage for 1 rod rack! 1 Quote
Super User Long Mike Posted May 24, 2012 Super User Posted May 24, 2012 I am pleased to report that I indeed have a Man Cave. It's an 8'X10' room that is accessible only through the garage. I'm not going to post pictures because it looks as if someone threw a hand grenade into the room. But it's MINE, ALL MINE! 3 Quote
scrutch Posted May 24, 2012 Posted May 24, 2012 When we build a new house, there WILL BE a man cave. Think of Bruce Wayne's secret BatCave with all the toys and security. That's the model I'm shooting for. Even if I only make it half as cool, it'll still be awesome. Quote
hookum Posted May 24, 2012 Author Posted May 24, 2012 I'm really looking for some good ideas on how people store all there bass fishing gear all the soft plastics and hard baits outside of the bass boat you have to have some good ideas in keeping this stuff organized. Because it can not all fit in the boat Quote
Super User MCS Posted May 24, 2012 Super User Posted May 24, 2012 I WISH I had a fishing man cave... my wife has relegated me to 1/4 of a garage shelf between the holiday decorations and just enough wall space in the garage for 1 rod rack! Yeah sounds pretty close to mine. I don't have a rod rack though, I have to strategically wedge my rods around a folded cardboard box. No kidding. Quote
Hyrule Bass Posted May 24, 2012 Posted May 24, 2012 some people here have posted some pics of pretty elaborate set-ups before of how they store their tackle, Quote
loodkop Posted May 24, 2012 Posted May 24, 2012 My boat trailer don't fit in the garage so the boat is under a carport and I have garage for workshop and storage. I have space for pouring soft plastics, making jigs and spinners as well as fly tying bench. For storage I have the kitchen cupboards that was ripped out when my wife got her new kitchen. Like Long Mike has said I'm afraid to take pictures because it looks like a train wreck inside. Quote
Super User whitwolf Posted May 24, 2012 Super User Posted May 24, 2012 Here's mine.....I don't know that It's a mancave but It's a storage system that keeps me organized.... Quote

NoBassPro Posted May 25, 2012 Posted May 25, 2012 Here's mine.....I don't know that It's a mancave but It's a storage system that keeps me organized.... Around here that would pass for a tackle store if you had some minnows and crawlers. Quote
wagn Posted May 25, 2012 Posted May 25, 2012 Here's how I set up my basement. This was in 09. Since these were taken, there have been just a "few" new bait and bags added to the walls. Quote

I guess it's a "cave" of sorts. Yea, no man cave to speak of for me either. My stuff stays in the trunk so I can pull it out and fish at any given time. I live on a golf course with 8 ponds and a river all within walking distance, as well as a lake about 2 miles away. So I'm out fishing daily, I just hop in the car and start casting. Would love a nice cave though. Quote

Mumpy Posted May 25, 2012 Posted May 25, 2012 Here's mine.....I don't know that It's a mancave but It's a storage system that keeps me organized.... That looks like my Tackle Box, lol No wonder my wife can't pick it up! Quote

Would love a nice cave though. That's why I keep everything in my trunk too. I'm in a simular situation where I have numerous fishing sites within walking and or very short driving distance. Also, I don't believe in having more gear than what is necessary. I have three rods for different uses. And all my bair and terminal tackle fits in a satchel bag. I'm a discount fisherman. I don't have any "extra" stuff. I also work next to Dick's, and Cabela's is only four miles from my house so if I need something I'll just grab it. I just don't seethe point in having all this extra stuff lying around. Quote
Super User Bankbeater Posted May 25, 2012 Super User Posted May 25, 2012 No man cave for me, but I do have some of the stuff in the basement moved around so that I have my own little nook down there. Quote
