Super User LgMouthGambler Posted May 22, 2012 Super User Posted May 22, 2012 I was gonna say that but didn't wanna start the ricer vs american muscle can of worms lol but your right I was just comparing their Jap cars vs our Jap cars. They get all the faster versions. Quote
Super User clayton86 Posted May 22, 2012 Author Super User Posted May 22, 2012 this is true but its nice for us because of there emissions laws and they replace there engines around 40-50k then we get them. I acquired a few nissan SR20det's this way and a 2JZ-GTE. To bad there wasn't a program to get reels after every like 1000 casts lol. I forgot what one I found the other week i'll hav to look up the post but it was the JDM version on the winch I think that thing was sick too. Quote
Super User LgMouthGambler Posted May 23, 2012 Super User Posted May 23, 2012 Sweet. I would take a nice H22 for my 94 Accord Quote

Super User clayton86 Posted May 23, 2012 Author Super User Posted May 23, 2012 sr-20dets suck i'll send you my adress and just send it to my I'll properly dispose of that monster motor -gk I got outa that game a long time ago though iv been eye balling another 300zxtt or old datsun 240z to drop a rb25 into. Tough with kids though diapers and formula is expensive lol. I traded my cars, carshows, and playing paintball in for settling down and starting a family the only thing I refuse to stop doing is fishing! I dont hunt as much either but I still go. I lucked out having a wife that loves to fish so she supports the bait monkey as much as any of us iv been sending her links to all the jdm reels she will get the hint eventually and have one waiting for me. Super User smalljaw67 Posted May 23, 2012 Super User Posted May 23, 2012 I don't thing the JDM reels and rods are better than what is offered here in the States, I think it is just different and it is due to the demographic buying the stuff. From what I've been told by importers is that the Japanese bass anglers like bling and styling when it comes to equipment and the American market is now changing but for the longest time a traditional Loomis build was the gold standard here, and look, they just recently developed split grips and even though they are the benchmark for performance they do look a little dated. The samr thing can be said about Lamiglas, high performance sticks but they are now beginning to look like antiques and the only line that looks modern is the Excel line which is a mid tier rod. I think that is why you see radically different reel versions made for Japan from different manufacturers because we want performance and are willing to look past cosmetics in favor of price but the Japanese angler is willing to pony up to have looks and performance. We have anglers here that are willing to do it to but Japan seems to have more of a high end market than what is here in the states. Quote
Jason Penn Posted May 23, 2012 Posted May 23, 2012 maybe that is what's replacing the current revo line-up. i'm sure the price wouldn't be dropping if they weren't planning on having something new at icast. Quote
j.bruno Posted May 23, 2012 Posted May 23, 2012 yea cant wait to check out the new revo line up! Quote
