Super User Bassn Blvd Posted May 31, 2012 Super User Posted May 31, 2012 Not a good idea taking photos in the locker room... Congrats on getting in shape. Hahaha, good point. Quote
Scorcher214 Posted June 1, 2012 Posted June 1, 2012 I too started lifting weights and losing weight. Was 280 last august and right now im down to 219. I wasn't super gung ho about it, but everyday for 20-30 minutes and just eating less and what I did eat, I made sure was not junk food. Right now I'm on my first week of P90X. Im where I was about 3 years ago in my sophomore year. 219 isnt great but it is wayyyy better than 280. My goal right now is to get below 200. After that....I'll set a new goal. Quote

Hating it yet? lol that program is no joke I do it from time to time on top of my lifting regime usually the ab ripper x its a smoker for sure I remember when I first started doing the whole thing a few months back with my platoon Sgt most of us couldn't walk a day or two after. I mostly just lift now but at least twice a week I will do some P90x with my PSG. Im trying to get back up in weight iv lost what I wanted now im trying to bulk I also have a few bets going about numbers i'll pt up when this deployment is over. I want to be putting up 100# dumbell press which is alot from where I started a few months ago looking back at my log i was only getting 8reps with 35s 2 months ago I threw up 60 12 times for 4 sets so im bumping to 65 maybe 70 this week usually when I hit 10reps we add 5lbs and it drops us between 6-8reps. I cant wait for shoulders tomorrow to see how it goes every day though iv been adding crazy amounts of weight pushing my self harder then ever i ever have before because people doubt me I used to be the pudgy private that got fat and let him self go after I got married now im running circles around everyone and there still doubting me just all the more reason to keep pushing farther ahead of them because iv already passed them by. Scorcher214 Posted June 2, 2012 Posted June 2, 2012 Abb ripper X....I dont even do all of it and they are killing. My legs are alright though. Im not using too much weight because Im not trying to bulk up, just lose weight, then when I get to where i feel is good, I'll start bulking up. The hardest video I have done so far is the yoga. I hated doing it. So repetitive, it got really boring really fast going from downward dog, to upward dog 30 times. All the other ones I actually like doing. I really like the kenpo and plyometrics. Even though you're not trying to "bulk up", you should go with as much weight as possible. If you gain muscle, not only does it look great, but it helps burn the fat. Quote
Fish Chris Posted June 18, 2012 Author Posted June 18, 2012 What's up fish!? I really don't come around the forum more than a couple times a year lately, but I remember when you initially made your awesome transformation. I've been lifting now just over 2 years, and like you, I was pretty fat, unhealthy, and just not happy physically. Like you, I'm gonna lift weights til I can't walk...and maybe longer than that I have lots of progress pics on my phone, but you guys definitely don't wanna see me wearing tight little boxer briefs lol....so here's the only recent pic I have. I went from 220/225 down to 168 and shredded in the summer of 2010, then been on a slow bulk since then. Sitting around 185/187 lately, around 10% bf. Tokyo, your doing great bro ! Feels freaking great, to be in great shape, don't it ? Keep it up ! Oh hey, if you don't mind me asking, how old are you ? Peace, Fish Quote
Fish Chris Posted June 18, 2012 Author Posted June 18, 2012 Hey BTW, here's a shot with a more natural pose, taken the same day as the one above. I think I probably look more like this in day to day life.... Peace, Fish Quote
Super User deaknh03 Posted June 18, 2012 Super User Posted June 18, 2012 Chris, no offense, but I'm beginning to feel like I'm on match.com. Quote
