Okay, let's remove the weekends of the 7th and the 28th, at least for the time being.

That leaves us with the weekends/Saturdays of the 14th and the 21st.  Any preferences as to which of those two suit you best?

What time to meet up?  Do you want to mill around the BPS before heading to the Red Wing?

Looking at the dark spots on the rocks past the big island I'd say the Nip is down more than 2'.

When I passed it on the right yesterday I had to raise my trolling motor all the way up and measured it at a paddle blade deep.

The 21st is fine, like Hamma I'm flexible.  BPS I could care less about.

21st sounds good to me, Johns got a hike to traverse, so I'd think somewhere around 1 pm would give him time to get there, and we all can still head to the diner when the noon rush is over.

  Thoughts?

Let's run with Jan 21 as the day.

The Red Wing is usually jamming on Saturday at lunch time.  It's a case of being there by noon time, or after 1:30 p.m.  If we meet up at the BPS for 1:30, will that give John ample time?

If anyone wants to get there earlier and mill around a bit, some can do that and be back to the fireplace at the entrance slightly before one-thirty.

Anytime is good for me.  So, the 21st @1:30 at the BPS fireplace.  If anyone from the Dracut area is going you're more than welcome to ride with me.

Please edit your post to read the 21st, not the 2st.  Just in case.

I took the roof racks off my car but this storm is going to destroy whatever ice we have left around here so if a warm day pops up I might be tempted to launch.

The date is set for the meet, greet and eat get together.  So far, there are four of us, but anyone, and everyone is welcome to join us.

Saturday, Jan 21, 1:30 p.m.  We are going to meet up by the fireplace at the BPS.  From there we will take the ten minute ride to the Red Wing Diner.

If you want look around at the BPS, get there early enough so you can be at the fireplace by one-thirty.

It is January, so Old Man Winter could throw a monkey wrench into our plans.

The only thing besides weather to look for would be a patriots game.

That would be a problem.  But, at three weeks away the playoffs should be down to Sunday games.

There will be two playoff games on  both Saturday and Sunday of this week.

Next week will be the same.

The following week should be down to the division championship games on Sunday the 22nd, and then the Super Bowl on the first Sunday in February.  February 5th.

I think they have the divisional games on sat and sun?

Only until they reach the division championships.  Then both games (American and National) are on Sunday, the 22nd.

Took a ride to Houghton's and Blue Hills Reservoir this afternoon between shifts.  Houghton's was 2/3 - 3/4  open with just a skim coat on the W-NW shore.  Blue Hills was wide open.  I fished both with no expectations for a little while.  Nada.  There was one other fisherman at Houghton's that looked like he had a few lines out.  I didn't see him catch anything while I was there.

Regardless, I got out for a little while today.

I'm heading to the Mecum Auction Thursday and am bringing a rod, just in case.

The larger reservoirs near me had open water, there have only been a handful of days this year with safe ice in my area and I haven't been able to get out yet, hopefully soon.

Got back from Florida last night.  Didn't bring any fishing gear, which was the right call.  My resort closed the lake again due to wind & cold.  I spent 2 1/2 days at the Mecum auction, bid on a couple cars, but they got past my budget.  A '70 Skylark convertible and '67 Cutlass convertible.

Going to keep the tackle monkey locked up for a year and bring something home next year.

Looking forward to meeting members on the 21st.
