Janderson45 Posted April 28, 2014 Posted April 28, 2014 What's everyone seeing for water temperatures out there right now? These bass all must be staging/suspended at this point still? Quote

trupp30 Posted April 29, 2014 Posted April 29, 2014 I am fishing in a tournament on the 10th of May at Singletary Lake. I have not been there in a few years and was wondering if anyone has been there lately. If so, could you help with some updated info on what lures have been productive, and how the bite has been overall. Thanks for the help Quote

Thanks for the help I haven't ever fished it, but in case you're not aware of the mass.gov pond maps they generally have some decent information. Here's a link to lake Singletary. http://www.mass.gov/eea/docs/dfg/dfw/habitat/maps-ponds/dfwsingl.pdf Quote

Thanks for the help Been a long time but I think I'd fish around the island with the bridge going to it for signs of bedding Smallies. It's about halfway down the lake on the left. The pool at the top of the pond and the pool way at the bottom to the right, warm up first though. Quote
BR1AN Posted May 1, 2014 Posted May 1, 2014 fishing in the elements tonight with the rain... My buddy got this 5+ lber Quote
trupp30 Posted May 1, 2014 Posted May 1, 2014 Thanks guys. Grampa. are your directions oriented from the boat ramp heading out into the lake? Any info on what lures and colors work best for Singletary? Thanks again. Quote
Super User Jigfishn10 Posted May 8, 2014 Author Super User Posted May 8, 2014 Hoping to get out and fish for the first time this season this weekend, what are you guys seeing? Water temps, spawn stage, etc.? Quote
Lostinthewoods Posted May 10, 2014 Posted May 10, 2014 I believe they're still in pre-spawn mode from what I have seen. I don't have accurate water temps but I have a hunch the water has still been a bit on the cool side. With the weather we're getting this weekend we should see some changes. Maybe even full on spawn? Just some speculation based on my observations out on the water. 1 Quote

Super User DogBone_384 Posted May 13, 2014 Super User Posted May 13, 2014 Been to the reservoir in Wampatuck State Park three times in the last couple of weeks, mainly to explore with my new kayak and get used to reading my fish finder, but overall have had no luck other than a pair of Crappie off a Rapala jointed shad rap that was 1/4 the size of the Crappie. According to my fish finder, the water temperature is in the low 60's - which I think is a high reading. So far Senkos, and spinner baits have been ineffective. Methinks I need more practice & study of structure and such... best of luck to everyone else. Quote
BR1AN Posted May 14, 2014 Posted May 14, 2014 the place i been going to this spring is still doing pretty good. Slowed down a tiny bit but decent bass still lurking Quote
mhtranger Posted May 14, 2014 Posted May 14, 2014 I think I know that spot. Never had any luck fishing from there. I will be going by there tomorrow morning and may have to give that another shot. Quote

Super User DogBone_384 Posted May 14, 2014 Super User Posted May 14, 2014 Got to BHR early this morning before work. Finally seeing small bait-fish & panfish near the shore. Caught one decent LMB by the gate house on a swimming Senko. It's good to know there's still bass in there... 1 Quote
