When my wife and I watch tv fishing shows we always say, "oh no, a giggler", when the people catch fish and start laughing like nut cases.

What is that?

That's why I like Hank Parker....no giggling like high school girls.

Fish couldn't see the hook, all he's processing is here's this round yellow morsel bouncing along. Did'nt need the scent for that

That may be the most obnoxious, insulting fishing video ever: in a genre rich with competition.

I once caught a 5lb smallmouth on a fake plastic peice of corn when I was trout fishing as a teenager. Just a yellow thing moving in the water and it actually smelled like plastic but both trout and smallmouth will eat it. When I click on a you tube video and see Facts of Fishing pop up I go to something else real quick.

1) A colored jig head is NOT a plain jig head.

2) Why didn't he try the same thing with a plain lead head with no color?

3) Why didn't he try the same experiment without the scent?

Really pathetic! But then again.....he gets paid to do it, so who's smarter?

Because it's not an experiment. It's pure BS.

I wouldn't say that was very smart. He's also working on his reputation.

I'm sure Berkely wants more hardcore fishermen to buy their products, because we keep buying the stuff over and over as we go through it? But this video is insulting to all of the experienced bass fishermen who saw what a load of horse crap that video was.

I would like to see how he would do fishing a tourney like that, then maybe he would not make stupid videos.

He was CLEARLY bed-fishing a smallie. Put anything near a smallies bed and it will eat it. He was using that color so he could see when the smallie ate it in those dark conditions. He also cirlcles around and you can see he keeps throwing to the same area that is lined up by a dead tree.

Tin, I was thinking the same thing...gotta be on a bed

As soon as I saw him fishing what appears to be a bare bank (no trees going into the water with a soft (the color of the water looks like sand right where it meets the shore) shoreline with scattered rocks I kind of figured. Thats just prime smallie spawning ground. Then he swings around to fish it again and pitches with a spinning reel.

Seems like the mid-wests Charlie Moore...

I thought that too. But smallies in many lakes under such lighting can be easier to fool, or more hot-headed, than LMs.

If it really was a bed fish, that was as low as it gets. That guy would be 2inches tall in my book.

gosh i hope that guy doesnt read this forum, he may kill himself if he reads this thread

Got the feeling it wouldn't phase him one iota. It's all marketing -that's putting a really nice spin on it. Simply lying is probably more accurate.

Fishing a plain jighead is not the problem either -cool challenge. But...it's the deception that riles me. If he had tested the same color jighead WITHOUT attractant, run up some numbers on both --bed fish or not-- he'd actually have offered something of interest.

But that's not likely his intention. And if he did read this and offer another "experiment", I wouldn't trust his results. His credibility is already gone in my book. I now have a good reason to remember his name.
