What is everyones game plan for fishing morning around 7am to afternoon?? Where do you start first (shallow waters, ledges, etc.)? What lures do you use?? I'm trying to get some ideas for fishing early morning to around afternoon cause I don't do it much.

I have been using a popper or buzzbait/zoom frog to start usually before sun up to just after sun up, then switching to a worm or a gulp minnow after working the areas I want.....worked well until all the rain this week, been difficult of late. I only fish mornings before work from 530 am to 730 am.....weekends I might go until 9 ish.

My morning game plan goes like this...

Safelight till about 7:30 will be topwater lures

7:30 till about 9 will be casting at grass edges with a texas rigged worm

9 till 11ish will be using Crankbaits, Jigs, Dropshots, Shakeyheads just about everything I can do to get em to bite

11ish to noon I'll throw frogs at some pads

Depending on if I know the water or not. If not ill stick with the buzzbait or crankbait something with a reaction bite till I find em and then start slowing down.
