Wow! Crazy! What was the location of that weather? We left Saturday afternoon and about 4:00 crossed the Mississippi. We were on an elevated portion of I-55 just west of the river and passed under a funnel cloud. I really had doubts we were going to make it but there was no place to take cover. The wind was intense, my ears were popping like crazy and the boat and truck were blowing all over the place. Just passed the funnel hail hit us for a mile or so then heavy rain. Hope y'all didn't get much damage!

We had just headed south east out of Muscle Shoals on 157 in Alabama.  It was very weird.  We saw no rain and the hail only lasted about a mile.  But it was heavy.

since we are talking about possible locations......

Long Mike had brought up Bull Shoals on the AR/MO line. The pros sure brag about it when they go, and catch really good weights.

I found it an interesting site recomendation.

also, Sunday at pickwick, Kerri pointed out the ramp at JP Coleman has a hotel 100 yards from the ramp. Anyone know how big it is? or resturaunt ect ect? really didnt wander arouund much and look. Just throwing it out there.

I've been planning a fishing trip with some friends and we are considering camping at JP Coleman.  There are motel rooms on site with about 15-20 rooms.  I bet that's what Kerri was talking about.  I haven't ever been up there so I'm not sure about restaurants.  It's sad that I'm only about 45 mins from there, but never fished Pickwick :/

Play cards & drink beer. LOL

You can always fish presque isle bay off of lake erie in PA waters. Lake chatauqua in NY state is an hour away.
