FD. ...Im not telling anyone!

Jeff

Yep, that seat will probably be open in the am.

What we will do is sell information to anyone who donates $5 to Tackle the Storm.  $20 if you want accurate info.   :eyebrows:

Is anyone else ready to go?

I'm packing for three and it's all ready to go!

Posted

Not me,  I need to clean up my lures and organize them all, change line on all my reels, pour some tubes, build me some jigs, and do a check over on the entire boat and truck.

I need to get busy.

Just about ready here too, most tackle is stowed and put in an organized spot..........main thing is will my new truck be here or not. I ordered a new RAM back in early feb.. I am hoping it is here or I am going to have to buy 2 tires for the trade in, which does not make me happy.....

I'm not quite ready.  Here's my list of to dos.

Clean the boat - less than a day

Check the trailer bearings, service as needed, grease the pivot points on the tongue -  It's not slinging grease so at the most a pump or two.  A half hour.

Clean the truck - less than a day

Have the truck serviced, lube/oil/filter, rotate tires, replace heat shield on the transmission - no time, my neighbor is the service manager so he drives it to work and returns it at the end of the day.

Packing, some done, the rest will be done a couple of days before leaving - A half hour plus what I might add those last two days.

Make sure all tires, truck, trailer and spares are properly inflated for a long haul.  -  ten to fifteen minutes.

Less than two days of leisurely work to get everything done.

Relax on Tuesday and Wednesday.

Thursday early a.m. if not before midnight on Wednesday, drive to Pickwick - 20 hours drive time plus stops.

Arrive at Pickwick Friday morning, April 26.

Fish, bathe, eat, sleep.  Repeat for nine or ten days.  I think I can live with that.

I am MORE than ready.....................but I am NOT prepared yet.

I have repacked the wheel bearings. purchased spare bearing set to carry just in case.

hope to get the boat out  a couple more times before the trip so I can get some more learning time in on my new electronics.......only had one learning session so far.

Will kick it into high gear prepping the weekend before.

More than ready for a vacation, still need to help BassnChris with his check list of things to do and to pack my gear.  He won't like this but I am planning to bring my big camera and take lots of pics, hopefully get some great images to use in collages and such.

Cool.  Bring your cameras!  I need pics for the video (and remember, you cell phone takes videos now).

No vids/pics = no video.

Beckie, stay close to me, as I will be the most handsome guy on the trip and will be catching the largest bass.  Great photo ops for you!

Dont worry.  Julie is going.  There will be plenty of pictures to go around.  I'm going to bring my go pro too.

Gene has a Go Pro for the entire trip.  And we know that guy likes to video.  And on top of that I am bringing both of my Go Pro's and my point and shoot camera.  Mike with a Go Pro and Julie with her camera.  I hope some others bring their cameras or else its gonna be a lot of ugly mugs in the video.  Plus Julie!

I've made my packing list and my shopping list for the Wednesday evening shindig. I won't buy any food until the night before. So, nothing is packed and ready for that.

All my reels have been serviced, and some have new upgrades I'm ready to try out. I still need to select which rods and reels will make the trip. I haven't spooled up new line yet. I'll do that closer to the trip. So, not ready.

My tackle is still in the same state of disorder it finished last season in. It always starts out out organized, but finishes the year with stuff stashed everywhere. A fine demonstration of entropy at work. One day this weekend will be devoted to tackle organization. Again, not ready.

So, I am ready, but nothing else is.
