For any on the bubble, I was at the last trip to Pickwick, sadly not in the cards this year. If you like typical ledge fishing and like to catch numbers with size mixed it Pickwick is the place to do this. Pickwick resulted in some of my best fishing experiences and I have fished Mexico, Texas and Florida not to mention St Clair. Take my word for it Pickwick is callin.

Whew, I won't have to worry about you topping me again this year.  I was quite inflated when I caught a six pound smallmouth, 'til you punctured my balloon with a 6.5 smallie.  If I recall correctly, they were both caught on the same day.

Yes that is true, many bass were caught that day by everyone. That spot the SMB came off of produced 60+ fish in 1 1/2 hours. bloody thumb time, good times. BTW that SMB was caught by Old Cranky, I just found the spot. It was caught on a trusty Wiggle Wart.

To say I'm excited about this trip is an understatement. I have yet to catch a single SMB. I can't imagine a 5 or 6lbr on the end of my line. I can't wait...... are we there yet?

Beware the guy who is driving and who says " Hey, I saw this in a Roadrunner cartoon-I really think it'll work"!

Rational and responsible fiscal behavior never, ever, caught a fish.

Sadly, I too must bow out this year. :cry3:  My issue isn't fiscal in nature, it's family.  I had to step in and volunteer to coach my #2 daughter's soccer team because the league is short on coaches and she would not have been able to play if I didn't volunteer.  On top of that I have already volunteered as an assistant baseball coach for my son's team.  See where this is going?  That's only HALF of my kids!

My wife agreed to go to Branson this year instead of California on vacation.  That means only one thing for me... TABLE ROCK.  I know it won't make up for missing the fun with all you ornery cusses, I just hope it makes it a little less painful.  I'm already buttering up my wife for next year!

I haven't forgot about you Jeff...I still owe you a boat ride.

Yall take LOTS of pics and videos!!

I need save up to buy a boat anyways...and actually fish St. Clair. My kayak only gets me so far!

I will be fiscally irresponsible in a fiscal way...putting most of the trip on my BassPro credit card and later will reap the rewards points for lots more fishing stuff................plus they give $70.00 a week for plasma if I get really desperate!!!!!

Hmmmm, you're good.  I cannot for the life of me, tell if a smallmouth is single or married. :eyebrows:

After a good suggestion from my significant other, I have revised the menu for the wednesday evening meal.

Sandwich bar: roast beef, ham, sliced cheese variety, bread variety, lettuce, onions, condiments

Fruit tray: whatever looks good when I go shopping

Cheese tray: smoked gouda, havarti, sharp cheddar

slow cooker full of my house special soup

misc: crackers, chips, dips, pickles, olives

a mixed case of wine

a cooler full of beer. I bought some sampler packs and other beer on sale about 5 weeks ago and forgot about it. I'll put all that will fit in a cooler and bring it along.

I plan to have it all ready by 7pm. Location to be determined that day. If weather permits, we'll just meet at the cabin I'm staying in, We can drag a couple of picnic tables from adjacent cabins, and all will be good. If we get weather unsuited for outside dining, I'll have to get with the park folks and make other arrangements. I've done just that in the past, and have had no problems finding a place to meet.

I've had about 5 people let me know they will be there. There are about 20 registered. I'm hoping all 20 will be there wednesday evening, and am planning on feeding 20 people. Do me a favor and let me know if you will not be there. Most of the supplies will be purchased tuesday evening, so the perishable items will be at their best. There's still plenty of time, but please do let me know your plans.

IN the past I have not asked for any cash. This year I'll have a "donation" bucket set out for all who wish to give a little something. With Glenn's permission, all proceeds will go to his Tackle the Storm Foundation. I will not be keeping any of the donations; all cash collected goes to Glenn.

Nicole is actually excited about the menu.  I'm good for $20 in the bucket.  Table for 2, please.

Absolutely.  I am a little disappointed that there is no beef jerky on the menu.

Woo Hoo!!  I'm getting REALLY pumped up for this event! Although I have to say I'm disappointed a few of you won't be able to make it.  I always enjoy catching up with old friends and meeting new ones (Uncle Leo, we WILL meet someday!), so I'm disappointed I'll miss out on that opportunity with a few of you.

Yes, I will humbly accept the proceeds for Tackle The Storm foundation. That's a very generous offer!

And it's true, Keri and I will be boatless (as will ProCrafter).  All three of us are very proficient smallmouth anglers, and we're more than happy to share our knowledge! And I speak from experience - ProCrafter is a smallie phenom!  Dude can force smallies to bite his lures!  So if anyone has an open back seat, game on!

We're looking forward to meeting and fishing with everyone!

All 3 of you let me know what day(s) you want to go. Long Mike is the only one with a reserved seat so far.

I will most likely have a back seat open most mornings as Nicole is "selective" about her fishing times.
