Your mother is a hamster, and your father smells of Elderberries.

Well since I can't recall anything about my mother (she passed when I was very young) I can't dispute that; but how did you know that when my dad was alive he liked elderberry wine?

Eric, I'm sure you are aware of it, but for everyone else, my insult was plagiarized from the old Monty Python days.

OK, folks I'm too lazy to go back through the above posts, so since we are getting down to the wire, I would very much appreciate a recap with regards to my boat.  As everyone probably knows, I want to step out of my boat for several days in order to fish with other boaters that I have never had the opportunity to fish with.  I have had very kind offers from both Dinky and Rhino, inviting me to step aboard their boats.  Several of you are qualified boaters who have offered to drive my boat in my absence but I can't remember who you are.  Glenn and Keri have the boat for at least one day.  I know I had two other volunteers.  Please remind me.

I thought it was something completely different than that.

I do, but does anyone in the younger group know Monty??  For the record, Michael can call me anything he wants.... except late for dinner :)

Tight lines my friend.  And take plenty of pictures for me.

I went with the Cabelas Guide Wear two years ago and never looked back.  This gear is now part of my personal safety system that includes good sun protection; foot, hand, and face protection.  At times I'll have to vent the Guide wear cause I'm too warm.  My Forg Toggs are only OK, but I can't count on them to keep me dry, I'll use them in a light summer rain.  FYI, you need to maintain the Forg Toggs water repellent from time to time; I use the Nikwax Tech Wash and TX Direct from REI.com; you wash the Nikwax into the garment and then lock it in place with the heat of the dryer; this is good stuff.  As for the Guide Wear, I just wipe it down with a wet cloth; I guess at some point I'll need to have it professionally cleaned inside & out.

I'm trying to pack for a week long guide trip and my mind keeps wandering to thoughts of how I'm going to pack for Pickwick. It's never taken me this long to pack things up to guide. I can't wait to see all my old friends and meet some new ones..........Are we there yet?

After having a great time last year, I was really hoping to attend his year. However with a new project at work that's about killing me and a very pregnant wife at home, it's not gonna work out for me this year.

With that said, I'm hoping to get some Guntersville revenge for last year on a guided trip I'm taking of the 29th :)

Tight lines for all those attending Pickwick!

"and now for something completely different"?  I can't believe you so called Python fans did not pick up on that.  Even my teenagers know that.  Of course I have force fed them Python since they could walk.  The Grail is required watching at least once a year.  We have 2 copies of the DVD.  One at home and one in the RV.

It's Fawlty Towers.  I had the great good fortune of living in England when Fawlty debuted on television back in the mid '70s.  It's one of the funniest series I have ever seen!  Believe it or not, I still have a VCR tape of the whole series, although I'm not sure where it is.

One of my favorite lines, which I still use today, is "I learn it from a book!"

If memory serves, that line would be from Manuel.

"I blow my nose at you."
