My boat is a Tracker TV-18 with a Merc. 150.  It has an HDS-8 on the console with both Lowrance and Navionics mapping.  On the bow is a 101# MinnKota Terrova with iPilot.  The bow depth finder is a Lowrance LMS-28c, but I hope to have the new Raymarine Dragonfly unit installed before the trip.  I usually have hot and cold running nurses on board, but I'm going to leave them behind for this trip.

Is it the same one from the 09 Kentucky Lake trip with the weak power box that kept blowing the breakers when charging? Oh and although I am just an EMT I can be Hot or Cold and at times Runny!!!!

Here are my thoughts. 

 

Tickets for spectators are $5 ea.  All money goes to Tackle the Storm.

 

Whoever wants to fish out of Mikes boat for the day climbs in it.  We pull it out to 10fow and anchor it.  With life jackets on and helmets we give each contender a floaty pool noodle.  Hit a horn.The last two in the boat  gets to fish out of the boat. 

 

I'd go just to play.

Blowing breakers while charging?  You have my boat confused with another.  I've never had that sort of problem.  That said, I do have a newer boat these days.  On the last Road Trip I did have a problem, because yours truly failed to check the water level in his TM batteries and had to buy two of them.  I don't know about you, but I would much prefer to spend my time on the water, instead of at Walmart.

Actually I don't think Im going to be attending this year. Given it some more thought and it's not "financially wise" for me to do so right now =/

Try 1200+ miles each way, with a boat in tow. 

 

Speaking from experience, we are not strangers, but we are a strange bunch.  This will be my fourth, and every one of them has been a blast. 

 

I'm outta here on April 25th, just after midnight, and hope to be on Pickwick the next afternoon.

I know what you mean. I think it would be better fiscal behavior for me to stay home too. However, I have been bit by the roadtrip monkey......and the Doctor says the only cure is to travel to Pickwick.

It is close to the beginning of summer, so I can let the electricity, water and gas get shut off. Then use the neighbor's water hose to bath with until the first freeze in the fall. That should just about cover the cost of the trip.
