I have some topwater lures that do not rattle (ie. spook) and I have some that rattle ( ie. spook one knocker). When is it best to use the silent ones and when is it best to use one that rattles? ie, water clarity, temp, etc.

Thanks for the help guys!!! :)

Silent are good during spawn, after that you have to take in effect how the rattle will help you through: Rain,cloudy-days,wind,and deeper water, the rattling will trigger a bite for sure.

Despite general guidelines, like everything else, you can't predict what will work on any given day. So don't hesitate to try different things when called for.
