When the water climbs into the low 40's and clears up a bit, I'll be tossing a 2.5" watermelon or green pumpkin on a 3/16 - 3/8 internal head. Always love that first bite indicating tick and the swing of the stick that follows. Great thread! Quote
BassResource.com Administrator Glenn Posted March 2, 2021 BassResource.com Administrator Posted March 2, 2021 Tubes are one of my "Go To" baits. I've been using them for decades - ever since they came out in the '80s. Here's several videos I made about fishing them: 2 1 Quote

But in general is there a good all around weight for say 5' to 15'? Thanks again! Quote
BassResource.com Administrator Glenn Posted March 2, 2021 BassResource.com Administrator Posted March 2, 2021 I usually go for 1/16th and 1/8th oz weights, and adjust from there. Obviously I use heavier weights in current and wind. 1 Quote
ABrugs Posted March 3, 2021 Posted March 3, 2021 The tube became my favorite technique when I caught my first ever smallmouth bass on one last year. I built a setup to exclusively throw them this year and I’ll be doing that in about a month! I’m going to be trying out the Xtreme Bass Tackle tubes w/ primarily 1/4 oz tube jigs. Quote
