jbass Posted May 13, 2012 Posted May 13, 2012 Nice prop baits. I love the wood chopper style. I need to figure out the deep diving aspect of the baits too! Quote
Big Bass Man Posted May 14, 2012 Posted May 14, 2012 Awesome work Marty!! They all look great!! Quote
Super User Jigfishn10 Posted May 18, 2012 Super User Posted May 18, 2012 Oh man, Big M, those props are the bomb! I made 1 and know that they are a tough bait to make and you go and make a half dozen with no problem...LOL...My hat's off to you my friend! Quote
BIG M Posted May 19, 2012 Author Posted May 19, 2012 Jig, I did not take a pic of the scrap pile and it took me 4 tries to get the weight correct. Those baits are 2.25 long from 1/2 stock, weight is on the heavy side of 3/8oz. My early prop baits were bigger and heavier but the action kind of just sucked. These are little more jumpy in the water and the fish seem to like it. Thanks guys for the kind words. Quote
Super User Jigfishn10 Posted May 20, 2012 Super User Posted May 20, 2012 I like the idea of having a topwater a little more jumpy. I've always found that even dog walkers that were a little smaller than say a Zara Spook was always more productive - my personal favorite being a Spit'n Image fits that profile...Well done Big M Quote
