midnighthrasher Posted December 11, 2009 Posted December 11, 2009 These are on special at bps for 9.99. thats cheap for lc's. anybody used them with success??? also does the 0.5, 1.5, 2.5, 3.5 mean the depth they dive to? because there is no info on the lc site http://www.basspro.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/Product_10151_-1_10001_58581____SearchResults Quote
Super User KYntucky Warmouth Posted December 11, 2009 Super User Posted December 11, 2009 Great baits, worth the $15 but even better at $10. All baits run 0-4' and the numbers refer to the size of the baits, 0.5 baits are tiny, 1.5 are 2", 2.5 are 2-3/4", and 3.5 are 3-1/4''. BTW, all the info is on the BPS website you posted. Quote
Super User Munkin Posted December 11, 2009 Super User Posted December 11, 2009 The RC 1.5 is my #1 crankbait and has been for 2 or 3 years now. I am glad they finally came out with a craw color. Allen Quote
Super User Tin Posted December 11, 2009 Super User Posted December 11, 2009 They are a go to prespawn/post-spawn bait for me and a great fall bait as well. They run great, bounce of cover, can take a BEATING, and come with some good hooks. Quote
bowfish12 Posted December 11, 2009 Posted December 11, 2009 Great baits, don't over look the deep divers in those series, I'm hoping to get up to Nashville next week and get a few. Quote
cbfishalot Posted December 11, 2009 Posted December 11, 2009 One of the best square bill crankbaits on the market. IMO Quote
Primus Posted December 11, 2009 Posted December 11, 2009 I know it will sound like a broken record but this a terrific series of baits, has been my most productive shallow water crank since it's been introduced. Even @ $ 9.99 you can't buy them all, I would try if your budget allows... 1 of the 0.5 Ghost color, great in clear water when there is a tough bite The 1.5 is my favorite, this is in my opinion would be the bread & butter size. Try the Ghost, Copper Green Shad, one of the craw colors and the # 05 Purple perch has been a good one when you need something with some chartreuse on it. The 2.5 size & 3.5 size are great for night fishing or when you're looking for that big bite. I personally prefer the silent version of these cranks, and as already been mentioned the deep divers are also productive. I'm glad you brought this to my attention, I always pick up a few of these when they are on sale. Quote
-nick- Posted December 11, 2009 Posted December 11, 2009 This thread is making me sick. I went to BPS last week I think Thursday. I wake up Friday morning and go check the mail only to find a BPS ad saying these are only 10 dollars. I had 50 dollars left to spend at BPS but i figured I'd save it for TW. If I went a day later to go to bps I would've came back with 5 RC cranks. :'( Quote
Super User Grey Wolf Posted December 11, 2009 Super User Posted December 11, 2009 Nick you've definately got to learn when to shop , be patient and wait for the sales which they have numerous times of the year and make a killing. Quote

Well thats the thing I thought I was. They had the PQ reel on sale for 80 which I ended up getting for 75 which is the main reason I went haha. Quote
gabes Posted December 12, 2009 Posted December 12, 2009 They also have the new 2.0 size in the RC lineup. Quote
LCpointerKILLA Posted December 12, 2009 Posted December 12, 2009 RC 1.5 sale. Good looks my friend. I did a thread a while back to let everybody know they were on sale. Didn't see this sale... usually try to stay away from Basspro this time of year. Quote
tnbassfisher Posted December 13, 2009 Posted December 13, 2009 Excellent price for these cranks. I could always use one or two more. Darn baitmonkey..... Quote
adclem Posted December 13, 2009 Posted December 13, 2009 The Rick Clunn crank baits are great and especially at the $10 price! Later, Quote
