i am faithful to bandit and SK. bombers and Xcaliber close second. I was at dicks today looking at the Rapalas, picked up a few IKE colors, they look nice, anyway with so many kinds; what is your fav and why. I am thinking of putting a order on some soon

Why? Because the #5 and #7's catch fish.

My favorites are any that are still in the store in there box that I have not wasted any money on. Overpriced, overhyped, junk.

DT's--primarily 3's or 6's or jointed #5 and #7 in either shad, craw, fire craw or baby bass

I like the DT 4's but can't afford to fish them at the rate I break them. I've got a couple of them left that have caught a lot of fish and not broken yet but they are far outnumbered by the ones that deflected off a couple rocks and then I reel in a bill and see the rest of my bait floating between me and where my cast landed. The orginal floating minnow and the shad rap are baits I toss for walleye fairly often though.

Shallow shad rap for sure. The new xrap version of the shad rap has been very productive for me after removing the feathered rear treble.

thanks for you opnions, i need to head over to rapala website to look at your choices

original floater in #13, I kinda like the blue/white or the silver/black but I don't really think color matters much.

I also like the #7 shad rap in shad.

I've also had some luck with the DT-4 in silver.

I've had some luck with the SR 5 (floating) this spring. I changed out the trebs for Daichi Deathtrap trebs. It made a huge difference in fish to the boat.

Shad Rap SR 5 and SR7 I can always count on them

The #5 and #7 shad raps are great in cold water and I have them just for that reason. My favorites are the X-Rap, The DT Fat 3, and the DT series in general with the DT4 and DT6 the most used. I've also become fond of the DT Flat 3 and Flat 7 as well, These are great in cold water but in warm water when the fish aren't biting much or around wood and rocks, the coffin bill really kicks the baits over limbs and rock and the Flat 3 has also helped me catch fish as a finesse square bill. I've had fish flash and swirl at a square bill but not take it and so I would switch colors or brands and change sizes and the fish either left it alone or would just swirl at the other baits but the tight wiggle of the flat 3 would get those fish to bite. So now if they Don't hit a square bill or I'm getting them on the back hook I'll go to the flat 3 and it has been money so far.

Manns and KVD > Rapala and cost less too. The silent versions have been a killer on grass flats this year.

rapalas are tough to beat.. my all time fav sand bass lure is a small black back rapala floating minnow..

are the discontinued rattlin raps in chrome blue and firetiger...

Im a bonafide Rapala junkie. If i had to pick a favorite it would be the X-rap, closely followed by the DT-Flat series

DT's

Shad Raps

Countdowns

Husky Jerks

Other ones versions I havn't used much are probably really good too.

Rapala makes the best crank bait, they have great quality and run true out of the box, they catch fish...they are awsome...they just cost a lot!

Xrap. It's easy to fish and catches fish. Kinda like a Senko.

I'm a Rapala Fanboy, love their cranks.
