is there anyway to see what post or topic etc they are for, kinda pointless if it doesn't say.

i personally find it a little Corney.. what are we in the 3rd grade here LOL. do we get stars for being good, can we give warning points to mods also if we find them being badge happy? lot's of trigger happy mods out there on the net protecting there little clicks of friends.

You sure are acting like it.

Easy guys, I already got a warning trying to defend some members from this guy's attitude. ( I think it was a nmod I was defending, can't remember)

I pretty much agree with Tony, I'm not a fan of a warning system, I agree with Stasher too.. The 3 of us can get fitted for a fishing jersey with a big Scarlet B.

Don't worry, Stu. I believe senior citizens get a half off discount. Your warning point only counts as half a point. :hahaha-024:

Man, you guys crack me up! If there's any way to totally misunderstand this, you figured it out. I honestly don't know how to explain this any better, but I'll give it one more shot:

1. This is NOT designed to give out MORE warnings. Quite honestly, we usually just send an email as a reminder about the rules, and to let people know what we did and why. Note Mike's message above. No warning given. This won't change.

2. This is NOT designed to get more strict and moderate more. That's the last thing we want to do.

3. This is NOT designed to change anything we've already been doing. So you can stop freaking out, thinking things are going to change.

4. This is simply designed to give a more lenient and tiered system that is more fair to all members.

That's it. Nothing more.

You can relax now, and go about your business.

So you're basically saying that this new system is designed to give out more warnings and to get us banned faster.

I think I got it now.

How long do the warnings remain before they expire?

I'm going to take off my Moderator's hat and become a regular member who has been active on this forum for seven years. In all that time, I have been issued one warning and have had a couple of my more caustic posts deleted. This one may be deleted, because you whiners really get under my skin. Glenn REALLY IS trying to make these forums more friendly, but all that some of you can think about is the warning points. For crying out loud! All you have to do is conduct yourself in a responsible, adult manner, and with respect for others with differing views. The warning points then become a non-issue. Geez, get a grip! OK, my Moderator's hat is now back firmly on my head.

I fail to see the issue here. All that was changed is the warning interface. I don't recall Glenn or any of the mods saying they were going to change how they are handling things. If anything it sounds as if they are being more lenient. I mean these are the same people that have been running things. The rules are still the same as before are they not? Like I said its just a simple interface change.

naw really didn't try hard, but good luck with it.. you wanna hand out more warnings to people be my guest, good luck with it man.

i think you better off letting it go and ignoore as much as you can till you have to ban someone for good reason other than handing out 30 LOL good luck..

i mean 20 - 30 warning LOL thats saying your going to target the grey, don't have to look hard to see that.. i mean good luck with it.. hey if it goes south this will be one of the funnest places on the net till it crashes.

i jump on board for this new system your putting in affect.... this sounds like allot of fun.

So, let me get this straight:

1. Glenn has a fishing forum with tens of thousands of members.

2. Tony has poor grammar, condescending remarks, and really wants to wish Glenn "good luck".

Seems like Glenn MIGHT be the expert when it comes to fishing forums. But, to be fair, when it comes to wishing folks "good luck", Tony wins hands down.

Ding! Ding! Ding! We have a winner!

That's exactly spot on. Thank You!

If ya don't like the good ol' USA, there's always China. If ya don't like BassResource, go elsewhere. Glenn and the mods work very hard and do a darn good job at being fair.

GO FISHING!
