Super User Marty Posted May 12, 2012 Super User Posted May 12, 2012 This is a Rapala, maybe 15 years old and has been discontinued. I don't think I ever caught anything on it and it'll probably never get wet again. Nevertheless, I'm curious about its name. Based on a test with a bowl in the kitchen, it seems to float with the tail down. Quote
supermanct Posted May 12, 2012 Posted May 12, 2012 nice color looks like a shallow diver/floater , dig up some rebel fastrac shads or shad jr's for me $$$$ Quote
Global Moderator Bluebasser86 Posted May 12, 2012 Global Moderator Posted May 12, 2012 Rapala Longcast minnow. I've still got a couple of them myself. Not much action but they do cast a long way for a balsa bait. http://www.google.com/imgres?q=rapala+long+cast+minnow&um=1&hl=en&safe=active&sa=N&biw=1280&bih=881&tbm=isch&tbnid=mTeSNAtzIUsgOM:&imgrefurl=http://www.fishingmaster.com/index.php/tackle/lures/R/Rapala/Long_Cast_Minnow_%28Freshwater%29&docid=499sQNabe44jiM&imgurl=http://www.fishingmaster.com/images/2008011622584637.jpg&w=421&h=151&ei=FcCtT6v4Fsv0ggfB3pSJCQ&zoom=1&iact=rc&dur=390&sig=101934780201673751060&page=2&tbnh=75&tbnw=209&start=20&ndsp=25&ved=1t:429,r:15,s:20,i:153&tx=75&ty=41 Quote
Super User Marty Posted May 12, 2012 Author Super User Posted May 12, 2012 Thanks BB, as soon as I read your post I recognized the name. I guess they cast long because of a relatively heavy weight inside. Quote
