Super User fishfordollars Posted December 9, 2009 Super User Posted December 9, 2009 Have not used them, but going to order me some to see how I like them. Quote
Super User roadwarrior Posted December 9, 2009 Super User Posted December 9, 2009 I don't know...One feature of a C-rig is the unpegged nature of the weight. When the bait is picked up there is very little initial resistance which is one of the reasons this is such an effective technique. It seems to me that if you want a stationary weight, a split shot rig would fit the bill just fine. 8-) Quote

Super User Bassin_Fin@tic Posted December 10, 2009 Super User Posted December 10, 2009 I thought they were kinda cool when I first seen them but got to thinking the same way as RW. Quote
Super User K_Mac Posted December 10, 2009 Super User Posted December 10, 2009 In addition to not having the free movement of a sliding weight, you don't have the noise of weight against bead/beads or clacker. I think that is a part of why a Crig works as well as it does. Quote
midnighthrasher Posted December 10, 2009 Author Posted December 10, 2009 i though the weight on a c-rig was pegged a couple of feet up the line and that it was basically 1-main line to swivel 2-swivel to line to hook 3-in between swivel and hook was a pegged weight with beeds clackin the weight am i wrong????? Super User K_Mac Posted December 10, 2009 Super User Posted December 10, 2009 Traditional Crig is: 1. Sliding weight on main line 2. Bead/bead-clacker/two beads-one bead is standard 3. Swivel 4. Leader 5. Hook Quote

kikstand454 Posted December 10, 2009 Posted December 10, 2009 i think those would be great for "split shot" rigs.... insted of split shots. i prefer the long cylindrical 3/4 oz. weights on my c-rig. i get through wood and rocks decently and they rule on humps with grass. some like egg weights and others like bullets. i think its mostly egg weights offer more feel... and bullet weights come through cover better. like i said i like the long skinny ones.
