What is it about the process of making tubes that makes it so difficult to produce consistent results? I have fished tubes from many different manufacturers and they all have the same inconsistencies...body length vs. tentacle length as well as body wall thickness can vary greatly even within the same bag of tubes. Just curious about why as it doesn't seem to matter that much to the fish.

good question....... i use alot of tubes and even the mass produced ones like the coffee tubes are always different... i think it works in our favor though... its like your starting with a used bait... beaten up plastics seem to produce better that new ones

Disc tubes are not the same as dipped tubes.

---

the fish do not care.. about the dif in dipped tubes..

even natural bait for fish are different. for example..

all live craw fish do not look exactly the same..

it is very hard to get all the tubes to come out the exact same.. tempature of the plastic can make a big dif..

tempature of the air in the room when made make a dif.

and other items make them come out a touch different.

if the tails get cut longer then the body will be a little shorter.

I have a bad habit of cutting the tentacle shorter.I believe it prevents short strikes better. Then again it's just a confidence thing for me probably as well.

So for me i could care less about the inconsistencies.
