VABasser Posted May 3, 2012 Posted May 3, 2012 Hey guys. Looking to place a TW order and improve my squarebill crank selection. Ive got a few of the KVD's and Bandits, but I want to hear your favorite brands and sizes/colors. Thanks Quote
Aluma-Bass Posted May 3, 2012 Posted May 3, 2012 KVD 1.5 & 2.5, i dont really have a fav color, i have a variety of colors for diff bodies of water i fish. Quote
Super User roadwarrior Posted May 3, 2012 Super User Posted May 3, 2012 Norman Fat Boy, Redear LC RC 3.5, purple back, yellow belly (pictured on the Home Page) Quote
kylek Posted May 3, 2012 Posted May 3, 2012 Only ones I have are the KVD 1.5 and 2.5 models. My favorite colors are sexy shad and chartreuse with black back. Quote
VABasser Posted May 3, 2012 Author Posted May 3, 2012 Do you all have a preference between the rattling vs silent KVD series? I notice TW only has the silent and the two I have are silent. RW, I had never taken a look at the Normans, I like how they look and the price is right. I think I'm gonna have to pick a few up Quote
Global Moderator Bluebasser86 Posted May 3, 2012 Global Moderator Posted May 3, 2012 KVD 1.5, H2O, Luck E Strike series 3, Lucky Craft 1.5, Bandit 100, Xcaliber 100, all great baits. I have both rattling and silent models for different uses. Rattling for aggressive fish/dirty water/weeds, silent for pressured fish/clear water/cold water. Quote
Super User Raider Nation Fisher Posted May 3, 2012 Super User Posted May 3, 2012 I prefer a Azuma and H2O cranks. After which is everything else. As far as colors go I have now been spoiled by the custom paint jobs done by bassinjody39. He's about to get a whole mess of baits sent to him for him to work his magic on. Quote
riskkid 2 Posted May 3, 2012 Posted May 3, 2012 KVD 1.5 in Citrus Shad, however....Chris Lane on the road trip suggested his go to confidence bait is a Luck E Strike RC2 (no other hints).....so before I got home from the road trip I made a detour to BPS and picked up a couple series 3 in Tasty Shad, hope I can have half Chris luck (skill)....we'll see! Primus Posted May 4, 2012 Posted May 4, 2012 Lucky Craft RC 1.5 Ghost Minnow, I also like the 3.5 Purple/ Chartreuse for first light early in the morning. Quote
craww Posted May 4, 2012 Posted May 4, 2012 Im a big fan of the rc series in any baitfish looking color. Kvds work good also. Quote
bassh8er Posted May 4, 2012 Posted May 4, 2012 I like the R.C. 1.5s and the KVD 1.5s. The 'rattlin' KVD's are a BPS exlcusive. Quote
Bass WarZ Posted May 4, 2012 Posted May 4, 2012 Hi guys I'm new to the forum out of NJ and I love the KVDS 1.5s just a great, great crankbait!! I never threw them too much but last year I started to really Get The Bite on them!!! dz Quote
SausageFingers Posted May 4, 2012 Posted May 4, 2012 I'm a big fan of the XCalibur line, specifically the XCS 200's. They're well built and aren't overly expensive. Quote
Matt Jungblut Posted May 5, 2012 Posted May 5, 2012 Im shocked no one said a 1\4 oz speed trap best shallow 3-6 foot square bill i have ever seen Quote

Gangley Posted May 7, 2012 Posted May 7, 2012 If you can find them, a Bomber Model B......FANTASTIC squarbill. They are expensive, but man they can bring them up sometimes. I've had multiple doubles with the Model B and love it! 1 Quote
Super User smalljaw67 Posted May 7, 2012 Super User Posted May 7, 2012 Rapala DT Fat 3 in blue shad, and the then it would be the Rapala DT Flat 3, that is the finesse square bill that works great on finicky fish. Quote
