I just picked up an Abu Garcia Vengeance rod from Wal-Mart. It's a 6'6 MH and I'm going to be fishing T-Rigged plastics, and some lipless cranks. Is this a good rod for the money? I foolishly bought it before I looked at the reviews, and they're very mixed. Just want to get some other input.

thanks,

I only have the vendetta from the v series rods from AG but they are great rods so I imagine the the vengeance are good Rods also.

I agree with Bass Ninja, the V series rods are great. I also a vendetta, it is a 6' 9" ML spinning and its as sensitive as comparable $100+ rods so I would say the Venganance is even better. I really want the new Villain rod, it sells for $180. I bet its sweet.

I just got back from w-mart and saw the vendetta rod in the racks..played with a 7' M casting rod for a bit and seemed like a nice rod for the price.[$79.00] pac-bay SIC insert guides, fuji reel seat and a nice fast action.

I purchased an abu villian 7'6" H rod this past winter and have yet to try it out..can't wait for the heavy braid frog/slop season to begin.thing is a beast in hand, hope it holds up to heavy jigging & frogging!

Vengeance is an alright rod, especially for $50. I bought one when Abu first released the V series.

I have no complaints with it. It doesn't compare to the Vendetta or Veritas but it is a solid rod, especially at that price point.
