Super User SirSnookalot Posted April 30, 2012 Super User Posted April 30, 2012 Sitting here wondering where should I go and what I should fish for, ate breakfeast, showered and I'm ready to roll. This is the weather right now. Monday East winds 19 to 24 knots. Gusts to 30 knots. Seas 6 to 8 feet. Dominant period 6 seconds. Intracoastal waters rough in exposed areas. Showers likely and slight chance of thunderstorms. You know I can't stay in..............gotta get my fix. Quote
Super User Sam Posted April 30, 2012 Super User Posted April 30, 2012 Fish the bank!!!!! Too dangerous to go out in your boat. Quote
salmicropterus Posted April 30, 2012 Posted April 30, 2012 I spent my weekend doing tackle maintenence and was glad I didn't have any T's this past weekend. Ugly weather and I hope some of this water makes its way into the Lake through some back-pumping Quote

Super User South FLA Posted May 2, 2012 Super User Posted May 2, 2012 Go to Scarlett's and take your mind of fishing. Quote
Super User Bassn Blvd Posted May 2, 2012 Super User Posted May 2, 2012 Go buy some fresh dead shrimp and see if you can catch me a 1/2 dozen or so large Sandperch for pan frying. MMMMMGOOD! You should be able to get out of the wind somewhere to catch'em. Quote
Super User Bassn Blvd Posted May 2, 2012 Super User Posted May 2, 2012 Go to Scarlett's and take your mind of fishing. Is that the same type of place like "Aimy's all girl staff?" Quote
Super User SirSnookalot Posted May 2, 2012 Author Super User Posted May 2, 2012 I did have a place to go out of the wind, sadly the bite was not on. Had I gone to the inlet 12-15# jacks made an appearance, so I blew that...lol. I went to the inlet yesterday and the jacks were back, wind down a bit but beach fishing was out. To my surprise the only jacks caught were on bait, they wouldn't hit jigs, plugs or spoons, pretty unusual. Did hook a couple of small snook, bite didn't start till after sunrise. I'll be back today with a bait rod, not my normal motis operundai, but a 15# jack ain't nothing to pass up. I do understand they are killing the snook at night there. With my wife going out of town I'll either be there at night or take a little trip to Sebastion, I want something different to catch. Quote
