I am working on a rod project and I need a specification of different reels. I only need one measurement to help me out.

I need measurements of any brand you have and different models within each brand. For instance; a Stradic 2500 and 3500 would be helpful to know.

The picture below shows three different measurements. I only need the label that is number 3.

I am asking for the width of the base that connects the foot to the reel. Please measure at the widest part.

Thank you for anybody that has the time to do this. MM is prefered but inches are good too. Please include the brand and make of the reel with the measurement..

Thanks

Well, even if you get some replies, I wonder how much value they'll be to you. You are talking only about reel brands, but different models can have different measurements. For example, I just looked at a Daiwa 2500 and 3500. I didn't take any measurements, but measurement #1 was visibly longer on the 3500 than the 2500.

Well, any help would be appreciated. I knew each model would not be the same but if I can get a general idea from different measurements then that would be really helpful.

And after thinking about it. I really only need measurement 3. So I will adjust my post to reflect this.

I don't have a micronometer, is that the tool?, lol. Seems to me measurement #3 is wanted for comfort purposes, I don't think it has anything to do with performance.

I do understand the concern, I have bought one reel over another regarding the same issue, but I've done in person. If push came to shove I'd buy the reel that may be more uncomfortable and get used to it if I liked the other aspects of the reel better.
