Bassnajr Posted November 28, 2009 Posted November 28, 2009 Hey all.... As I pack away my gear for the winter, I realize that I bought WAY to many jigs of all sizes this past season. I have looked on the B.P.S. and Cabela's website, and didn't see anything that was rated well by customers, or one that holds more than 20 or so jigs. Any ideas or advice would be appreciated!! andamtoft Posted November 28, 2009 Posted November 28, 2009 I use the medium sized finesse binder for both my spinnerbiats and jigs and i love them you can fit a ton in there and the clear bags make finding what you want easy. here is the link. http://www.basspro.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/Product_10151_-1_10001_37109_100011010_100000000_100011000?cmCat=CROSSSELL_PRODUCT Quote
The Rooster Posted November 29, 2009 Posted November 29, 2009 My jigs are in a Plano 3700, stored several per slot and it holds 60 some jigs that way. Makes it heavy, but it works. Quote
Super User Jig Man Posted November 29, 2009 Super User Posted November 29, 2009 I keep my skirted jigs in the BPS plastic boxes. I have a box for (3/4 and 1 oz), (a box for 1/2 oz), (a box for 3/8 oz) and (a box for 1/4, 3/16, and 1/8 oz). I keep my bucktail finesse jigs in small zip lock bags inside of tackle bags, one for the light weight (30 grain and 1/8 oz) and another for the heavier (1/4, 3/8, and 1/2 oz). Quote
Thad Posted November 29, 2009 Posted November 29, 2009 I keep my jigs heads and skirts separate. Jig heads can go in just about any plano box and the skirts are stored in bags according to color. Sometimes I'll put jig heads and skirts together to make the jigs I think I'll use for the day and sometimes I'll just put them together on the water. Quote

MSPbass Posted November 30, 2009 Posted November 30, 2009 I use a Plano box as well. No separators though, just 4 rows of 4 (about) different colors. Heaviest jigs on the left & they get lighter to the right. One row does have a separator actually. That's where I keep a few spare trailers from my plastics bag. I do the same thing in small box when I'm throwing things into a backpack for a quick outing. Quote
-nick- Posted November 30, 2009 Posted November 30, 2009 planomolding.com. 3714 spinner bait box. says its also good for holding jigs and rattle traps. 32 compartments. I hate that box. It says it can hold spinnerbaits but it can't unless it's a little crappie spinnerbait and I haven't tried anything else but the jigs would like cram in there just not worth messing with there are better boxes out there. Simp Posted December 1, 2009 Posted December 1, 2009 Falcon jig Box works great for me. The only problem I have is sometimes it doesn't work great with football heads. Quote

Bassnajr Posted December 1, 2009 Author Posted December 1, 2009 Should have been more specifiic..... Right now, I store them in a Plano box by color etc. I want to store them seperately. I know this is a tall order. ajr Quote
