Roadwarrior was just doing the right thing, as he is a Tennessee man; he knows exactly where I am coming from.  Besides, the man is a walking fishing encyclopedia, and I would not want to irritate such a valuable resource.  I read so much valuable information here, and just wanted to thank everyone here on the boards.

As for my joke, at least my Army friends got a laugh.  It seems fishing gear is hard to come by in the Middle East, and sometimes you have to improvise.

Logan, I'm sorry, as of now it's only available in Texas Red and Desert Tan.  I'll see what I can do.

Well your not the 1st person think of it. About a year ago a person was fishing below the spillway at a local lake and caught a bomb.  The story was on the news around here and in one fishing magazine.

People have posted some real funny stuff to open eneded questions. Even on this I would help my kid understand whats going on'

I know how hard Glen , the Moderators and the membership work at keeping this site clean and familyu friendly( God knows I test the boundries at times)

They seem to be overseaeas or in the service and posted something for fun not for real!

PS Sometimes cold fronts can make things harder and you may have to upgrade from that finesse approach you posted to something more like this: ;D

I'm with muddy, I don't see anything wrong with this.  I'm not going out and trying to buy some dynamite now just because I read this post.  Welcome to the forums Fish-n-Chicks.

Hey Muddy, How did we go from dynamite-fishing to WWII?  Now that I think about it, anyone have a stat on how many saltwater fish might have died in the Pacific War?   :'(

Seriously,  I always thought dynamite fishing was a 'running' joke.  If the fish aren't biting one might say, "I couldn't catch a fish with a stick of dynamite", or "That lure works better than dynamite."  I certainly don't condone the use of explosives in sport fishing...it wouldn't be very sporting.  I also didn't intend to hurt anyones feelings, but apparently I have; for this, I am truly sorry!

With IED's being the #1 thing killing soldiers in Iraq I do not find it funny.

I didn't think it was all that funny until people started complaining. Now I think it is hilarious!
