I've got 4 of the $100 Speed Spools and they are every bit as good as the more expensive reels that I have, which include Shimano and Abu Garcia. Great value.

What where they going for??

Excellent reel. The Speed Spool is underpriced at $99 for the performace it delivers.

Don't say that Sausage! I still want to buy a few more at that price. They are a steal at that price.

150 - 160 they may still be on there.

My first lews was a speed spool. I have since added 2 more tournament speed spools to my collection. If you have the extra cash for the tournament it is well worth it. Even if not speed spools are still a great choice.

I agree!!! My local tackle shop is selling these for 89.99 right now and you get a nice set of Lew's pliers with a nich sheath with it. Hoping to pick up a few more soon!!

I've gotten rid of most of my Shimanos and have gone to Lews. I have three Tournament Pros and they are worth every penny and then some.

Which models do you own ??

Tournament MG, Tournament Pro and the 99$ Speed Spool.

I've got one on the way(MG) in 5:? for deep cranking, I'll see how it is soon enough. Looking at this thread, I'm pretty pumped.

I have nothing but great things to say about the Lew's Speed Spool. I've been fishing everything from spinnerbaits to 2oz swimbaits with out any problems what so ever. They cast a mile, and are easy on the wallet!!!!!
