jrk Posted November 26, 2009 Posted November 26, 2009 I tried this the other day and caught my fall best with it. Never fished this prior...got me interested. I'm interested to hear how you guys rig these. If you fish it and rig it a specific way, I'd love to hear the specifics such as hook type, weight pegged or not, etc. Thanks for the time, Randy Quote
GRiver Posted November 26, 2009 Posted November 26, 2009 I rig mine with a 1/4 jig, I like the screw type bait holder, in with green pumpkin craw. I all so use the paca chunk with a strike king jig. I used on today but no luck...Tried everthing else too...nada. Quote
jrk Posted November 26, 2009 Author Posted November 26, 2009 Thanks GRiver. Appreciate the time. Quote

LooksLikeSinbad Posted November 26, 2009 Posted November 26, 2009 It's a great bait! I t-rig it with a small (1/8 oz) bullet weight on 12# flouro. Quote
bocabasser Posted November 26, 2009 Posted November 26, 2009 i flip the baby and the regular size one. i also swim a strike king bitsy jig with a paca chunk sr. deadly!! Quote
DEbassman17 Posted November 26, 2009 Posted November 26, 2009 It's a great bait! I t-rig it with a small (1/8 oz) bullet weight on 12# flouro. X2, sometimes when It's warmer I'll even rig it texas style weightless and buzz it along top, and if a fish rises for it and misses, I just stop reeling and let it fall. This normally gets them to hit it. -Jason Quote
central.PA.bass Posted November 26, 2009 Posted November 26, 2009 It's a great bait! I t-rig it with a small (1/8 oz) bullet weight on 12# flouro. x2... ive also used it with success on an 1/8oz shakey head jig Quote
Super User Gone_Phishin Posted November 26, 2009 Super User Posted November 26, 2009 Another T-rig vote here. A small (1/8-3/16) tungsten bullet weight does the job very well. This year I am going to try some Force Beads for this specific presentation. I have a New Zillion rod on the way, and I have a feeling it's going to see some Paca Craw action. Also, the Baby size is my fav. Quote
aarogb Posted November 26, 2009 Posted November 26, 2009 I like to use them on a Spot Remover shakey head, a regular Texas-rig, and use them as a jig trailer. Quote
ABLE2DISABLE1 Posted November 27, 2009 Posted November 27, 2009 Couple of hooks;2/0,3/0 flip-pin and tex rig.Take a sizmic toad hook as well for flip-pin, shove a over sized glass rattle in it.And some times if I want a bigger profile I rip the paca in half for the trailer on my jig.I will even take the chunk and baby for shaky and drop shot. bigtimfish Posted November 27, 2009 Posted November 27, 2009 Tx rig with a 3/4 oz parasite weight for punching. About to try it with those gambler ko hangover skirts. Quote
whoopbazz Posted November 27, 2009 Posted November 27, 2009 I use it on a shaky head type jig head, so it "stands up". Baby paca with an 1/8oz that is. Pumpkin spice color or alabama craw. Quote
Blue Streak Posted November 27, 2009 Posted November 27, 2009 This bait has been a killer for me. My favorite is the baby craw T rigged with the lightest weight I can use. But I also use them on a shakey head, or a C rig, or as a jig trailer even on a swim jig. Does not seem to be a wrong way to fish them. The big craw is great for flipping. The tiny craw will work on a drop shot rig. Just fish them, you won't be sorry. Quote
jrk Posted November 28, 2009 Author Posted November 28, 2009 Thanks for all the replies. I saw something called the owner phantom tube hook...I might give this a try...interesting! I wish I had been throwin this bait earlier this season, the thing is phenominal! Quote
