Super User rockchalk06 Posted August 30, 2012 Super User Posted August 30, 2012 Which rod would you recc.that is a true medium power (100 and under). My vendetta feels more mh and I have a mh carbonlite already. Id like a different model rod for variety. I found a seller on eBay that has the Veritas series for 79.99 with free shipping. He ships them in a huge PVC pipe. One of the ones I bought was the 7' medium with micro guides. I couldn't have been happier. I think it's the best and most true medium I have ever had. I loved it so much I have bought 3 more from him. They also provide a true receipt if you wanted warranty work or the free hoodie. To answer your question, I use my medium for mainly top water. Poppers, small jerk baits. Until I can afford another medium setup, I also use it for up to 5" swim baits with 1/8 hooks, larger senkos, larger jitterbugs. I was using it for smaller jigs and Texas rigs but it just seemed to much for the tip. I moved up to a 7' MH fast tip and am very happy. Quote

I love the veritas, I have a mh but it seems the power is under rated, it feels like a H and I assume M feels like a mh Quote

Runs $90 I think thanks, coincidentally I was looking at their rods on tw lastnight and the review on tackle tour. I see much talk about them on here, never used one in my life nor seen one in person Quote

The MH was just about right but I wanted something more stout to through 1oz if I needed to. Quote
