Super User slonezp Posted April 25, 2012 Super User Posted April 25, 2012 How 'bout "Spappy"?! Seriously, who could get mad a kid named Spappy? Could you imagine yelling his name in a stern voice in a mall? "Spappy! Come here now!" LOL! Too funny Quote

Im not sure what was worse the fact my son was being called boy George or that my wife didn't know who the real Boy George was till I played a music video we came up with Jack Alexander shortly after lol That is beyond hysterical! We named our son John Morris. Well my wife and everyone calls him JM. I decided to be creative and mock everyone else at the same time. So I took to calling him G, our last name is Galbraith, as an abbreviated version. Well after 4 yrs it has stuck with him. I still call him that, and he will occasionally introduce himself as G. My wife liked to kill me the first time he did it. She said he sounds like a little white gangsta. Quote
GrundleLove Posted April 25, 2012 Posted April 25, 2012 Justice? Really? I really dont get the trend now a days to name their kids these freakin bizarre names.....no offense bro but Justice does sound like a porn star name. Or perhaps a Bounty hunter from Texas. Or Why not Justin? Kind of close to justice....i guess? Quote
Super User J Francho Posted April 25, 2012 Super User Posted April 25, 2012 We named our son John Morris. You named your kid after your fishing reel? 1 Quote
Super User Raider Nation Fisher Posted April 25, 2012 Super User Posted April 25, 2012 You named your kid after your fishing reel? At the time he was born I was just starting to get into bass fishing. It wasn't until he was 6months old that I even knew who Johnny Morris was. Believe me though since I found out I've tried to use it to my advantage at BPS. Hasn't worked yet as of my last attempt. G has a blast with it though. He thinks its cool that his name is on a fishing reel and rod. Quote
outdoorsman110 Posted April 25, 2012 Posted April 25, 2012 I'd either go with Daiwa or Berkley. Lololol ok I'll leave. 1 Quote
silvercliff_46 Posted April 26, 2012 Posted April 26, 2012 This is the God's honest truth; I know a guy named Downs that name his kids Ben and Neil. Quote
Super User Gone_Phishin Posted April 26, 2012 Super User Posted April 26, 2012 How about Shaniqua, She don't live here no more. This is the God's honest truth; I know a guy named Downs that name his kids Ben and Neil. HA! I went to high school with a girl named Anita Nickel. She was always getting in trouble, so we would frequently hear Anita Nickel to the office... It was gut-busting. Quote
Super User Gone_Phishin Posted April 26, 2012 Super User Posted April 26, 2012 To me, Justice sounds like a strippers name. Maybe I'm just old. I like traditional names. Think about when the child gets old. "Grandpa Justice" doesn't sound right. In my family tradition is the first boy is named after his paternal grandfather. I broke that and named my boy after his paternal great grandfather. I'm surprised you didn't make a Married With Children reference. Quote
Super User slonezp Posted April 26, 2012 Super User Posted April 26, 2012 Seven was the "Jump the shark" moment. Depressing I'd rather not remember. Quote
Super User Sam Posted April 27, 2012 Super User Posted April 27, 2012 I am in favor or normal names. When the child grows up and starts applying for work you would be surprised what a "first name" can tell the HR or recruiter. Legal? Of course not. Done? All the time. You cannot attach a photo of yourself with your resume but your name can speak volumns to those in the "people" business. Quote
telmomarques Posted April 27, 2012 Posted April 27, 2012 why not name him sparta, so that when you introudce him to people, you can say THIS IS SPARTAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA Quote

jkarol24 Posted April 28, 2012 Posted April 28, 2012 There happens to be a guy that goes to my school by the name Justice. Most kids think its a pretty cool name. Not my cup of tea, but to each their own. Quote

endless Posted April 28, 2012 Author Posted April 28, 2012 To everyone saying girlish or porn star I figure Justice was to much girlish myself and I picked the name, lol. We decided to go with Justus Paul. Justus stand for Fair, Just, Upright.. from what I can find. It is also a biblical name. Paul will be after the wife's father but we're not to much for traditional in a way. My wife family side are but most of her family names been used. Quote

Well, looks like looking for a job for him will be extremely difficult later on in life. Plus, i know it stands for fair, just, and upright...but how do you know that thats the person that he will be when he gets older? What if he's an a-hole? i mean, not saying you will do a bad job parenting but its not like you will know what kind of person he will become, what if he's a criminal, then the name Justus will be extremely ironic.....just saying... Super User Lund Explorer Posted April 30, 2012 Super User Posted April 30, 2012 Why don't you just name him "Senko" so that when he grows up he'll have his own pinned thread? 1 Quote
