Super User eyedabassman Posted April 24, 2012 Super User Posted April 24, 2012 My colors are= Magic craw, Brown green blue jig,black/blue,Dirty Water. The trailers are Netbait chunks or tiny/baby Paca craws. Quote
Super User ww2farmer Posted April 24, 2012 Super User Posted April 24, 2012 Jig colors I like a bluegill, or a green/brown color in clear water, black and blue in stained. Grubs, paddle tail swimbaits and flapping craws like the Paca or Rage for trailers. Some kind of green like watermelon, or green pumpkin on the bluegill jig, Any color is fine on the black and blue. A green pumpkin trailer goes against the grain on the black and blue jig, as most people like to match jigs and trailers, but I like to mix it up on a swim jig, and it works well. If you fish a lake with a lot of bluegill and/or yellow perch as a big part of the forage base, clear or dirty water adding a little purple and/or orange to either the trailer, jig or both seems to be a good choice as well. Super User eyedabassman Posted April 24, 2012 Super User Posted April 24, 2012 Some more I like are the Northstar bull gill, perch! Quote
Vinny Chase Posted April 24, 2012 Posted April 24, 2012 Color = NorthStar new gill Netbait Paca Craw or Keitech Fat Impact In the spring I use a lighter 1/4 oz size and use a slow retrieve and fall presentation. When I kill the bait, the lighter size just glides to the bottom, leaving the bait in the strike zone longer. The bass seem to hate that! Quote
Skeet22 Posted April 24, 2012 Posted April 24, 2012 Northstar -New Gill for perch color with zoom green pumpkin fat albert trailer. Northstar - common shad with zoom disco shad fat albert trailer Quote
MrSwimJig Posted April 24, 2012 Posted April 24, 2012 White, sexy shad and blue shad with Kinami 4 or 5 inch single tail grubs. I just swim them thru the grass or around some timber and pretty much anywhere else I would fish a spinner bait. Quote
