ABLE2DISABLE1 Posted November 24, 2009 Posted November 24, 2009 Does any one here use a snake for a Carolina rig, top water, or flipping. If so do you remember the old cork shaped snake head you could trail a hook and 10" worm behind. Quote

Infidel. Posted November 24, 2009 Posted November 24, 2009 for me , snakes don't work , i live on the west coast (SAN DIEGO , CA.) and i don't of anyone i know catching anything on them either . When San V was up I used to catch bass back in the sticks on weightless 10" worms which is pretty much a snake. Same with the north end of El Cap. Quote
Fishbone Posted November 24, 2009 Posted November 24, 2009 This brought to mind the pics, this past summer, of the guy who brought an 18" rattler into his kayak, put it on a hook and caught a 5# bass on it. That still gives me the heebie-jeebies. Quote
bocabasser Posted November 24, 2009 Posted November 24, 2009 the best snake in my opinion, and it works and it is cheap, is a black trick worm swam on top. down here in florida, it is a killer! Quote

Infidel. Posted November 25, 2009 Posted November 25, 2009 Yeah but even those are baits that work well at most west coast lakes, not just DVL. Quote
