Does any one here use a snake for a Carolina rig, top water, or flipping.If so do you remember the old cork shaped snake head you could trail a hook and 10" worm behind.

for me , snakes don't work , i live on the west coast (SAN DIEGO , CA.) and i don't of anyone i know catching anything on them either .

When San V was up I used to catch bass back in the sticks on weightless 10" worms which is pretty much a snake.  Same with the north end of El Cap.

This brought to mind the pics, this past summer, of the guy who brought an 18" rattler into his kayak, put it on a hook and caught a 5# bass on it. That still gives me the heebie-jeebies.

the best snake in my opinion, and it works and it is cheap, is a black trick worm swam on top. down here in florida, it is a killer!

i use 10'' power worms , ole' monsters , ss magnums too , but i guess i don't consider them ''snakes'' . what i consider as snakes are BIG worms like UPTON CUSTOM LURES  giant 16''and 18'' worms that actually resemble snakes because of their size .
